About
One of Lancashire's most historic halls set in the beautiful park of the same name. The history of the Hall itself is full of intrigue, with stories of plotting and religious turmoil. It dates back to Elizabethan times with changes and additions over the centuries, all helping make a visit to the Hall a fascinating and enjoyable experience. This grade 1 listed building is the jewel in Chorley's crown, with stunning plaster work and architectural features. As the town's museum and art gallery it is also home to items of local historical interest. William Shakespeare and Oliver Cromwell are some of the famous guests to stay at the hall.

Lovely place to visit
Sep 2020
Enjoy walking round the grounds, and I like to visit the cafe, if you get the chance to look inside the hall it is very interesting. I think a few more car parking spaces would be of benefit. Overall very pleasant afternoon in the open air.

I do enjoy walking through the park up to the hall. Great setting as you approach with the pond and fountain.

Afternoon walk
Sep 2020 • Friends
We went for a walk on Saturday bank holiday weekend and found Barraca wines.
The owner recommended a wine and we had a glass each. It was very nice.
We enjoyed our walk in Astley Park.

Astley park is a little gem (well, not that little really) in Chorley and a visit to Astley Hall is also really worth it. The place is lovely and whenever we have been, the staff/volunteers were all very nice.

On a a Summer's day this place is a well kept and very pretty park to visit. The cafe has gorgeous food and has COVID safe precautions all in place. Would recommend a visit here with family or friends.

Perfect Park
Feb 2020
Local residents are lucky to be able to enjoy this lovely park. Even on a cold and wet day there is Cafe Ambio and the new Barrica Wines outlet supporting and selling local produce.
On a sunny day its great to watch children playing, feeding the ducks and swans on the Lake. The Hall and it's gardens and exhibitions are also not to be missed.
