A lovely long beach with nice stretch of promenade. Perfect for a morning walk and there's plenty of free parking so you don't have to worry. I visited at low tide and it was good fun walking out onto "the street" as it's known locally (a long stretch of sandbar which goes about 300m straight out into Tankerton Bay. If you're planning on swimming, I recommend a pair of flip-flops or booties as it's a very stony beach!

Clean beach with great facilities. Loved the grass slopes with benches to sit and watch the sea. Pity about the wind turbines spoiling the view but understand the good they are doing!

Great place to have a quite time. Free parking for 4 hours available and nice views. There are few benches on top of the slopes if you just want to enjoy the views.

As with any beach on east coast, ensure you check the time of the high tide else you might be disappointed.

Beautiful pebble beach and not as crowded as the main Whitstable beachfront. Love the views here too! Reasonable and easy parking around.

just love Whitstable and Tankerton

lovely area plenty to do in Whitstable lots of shops charming place and also Broadstairs is lovely with sandy beaches and bays if in Kent.

Tankerton is a quite area but lovely Whitstable as most things for a lovely time with the family.

The Groynes are lovely for sitting against in the Sun. The slopes are lovely to get the view from. & every so often there is a Beach Cafe & other amenities.

Tranquil. Beautiful. Clean.
I could go on. Don’t bother with the rubbish filled, weed smelling beaches in whitstable. Go a mile up the hill. Enjoy the view.

This beach has a combination of green slopes to walk and picnic on, a pebbly beach and lots of places to grab a drink, food or of course to taste the local oysters 🦪 and ice cream 🍦
- This location is definitely worth a visit if you are local or visiting the area.
- The sea is quite cold but worth a paddle if you are brave enough 😁
- There are also public toilets which are kept quite well.

visited the slopes several times over the past couple years, whether it be for the seaside walk or swimming in the summer. the parking is much better along this area than whitstable town and less crowded.
