In need of a refreshment!

The Harvey's beer was perfect as it should be, my all time favourite. The ladies pulling the pints were warm and friendly so much so we returned several more times over a few... read more

Very often visit this pub for a drink when in whistable. It is usually busy so have only ever sat inside once. Staff very busy but friendly. Only downside is that there are only two ladies toilet cubicles, but then again it is an old pub. Usually get talking to someone in the queue for the loo though so that... More

Lovely location right on the beach. Food was very disappointing, most of the menu is deep fried, salads were tiny, the ploughman's was poor quality. Drinks are served in plastic glasses inside and out. To add to that the staff were rude. We should have left after the appalling service and rude comments at the bar as things did not... More

Came across this pub and decided to have lunch as it was on the beach. Ordered a ham and cheese ploughmans and chips. Service was quick, and staff friendly. Disappointed with the ploughmans, cheap pickle and margarine on the bread, ham was good but cheese was lacking in flavour. Chips were average, frozen and deep fried but some of them... More

What a real jem of a place, I was visiting a friend and he suggested we went there. As you walk inside the pub it feels really inviting with its uneven floors, to the landlady who served us with a welcoming smile. We then proceed to go outside and sit in the sun and watch the world go by, and... More

Couldn't believe how little had changed . A fantastic pub on the beach . The most positive change is the invention of Whitstable ale and lager

We made our bucket list visit and it wasn't wasted time. Although it's at the top of the beach and surrounded by the waist high flood wall it is close to the other houses round here and it's a slight pity that a newish and slightly out of keeping red brick house has been built very close on the inner... We absolutely love this pub and no visit to Whitstable goes without a visit! It is very quirky and rustic inside with lots of locals, visitors and dogs! It is such a well know landmark sitting there right on the pebbled beach! You have to go on a walk along the beach no matter what time of the year and... More

really friendly pub on the beach. Good food, lovely wine and great live music. It gets really crowded so get there early in the evening to get a seat! As I live in whitstable I visit very often

A great pub, right on the beach. Good atmosphere, good service, great choices and well worth a visit. A good menu but we didn't eat (wrong time! shame!) but the food looked fantastic too
