We have walked this in both directions, but prefer to end in Whitstable, a cheeky beer on the beach is a nice reward. The walk its self is nice, it's not too hilly, and has some lovely scenery. It can get busy in parts, lots...More

I've cycled this route a few times (it's about 15 miles to Canterbury and back) and walked there, but got the bus back, mostly because I was soaked by the time I got there! Parts of it are quite steep and the start of the...More

A lovely way to get between Whitstable and Canterbury. Bicycles easily hireable at both ends. Good for all ages but there are some hard hills at both ends. I'm guessing it can be cyclable in both directions in as little as an hour but it's...More

The walk between the coastal town of Whitstable and Canterbury is about 8 miles of excellent trail with some tarmac through gently rolling countryside through woods and fields. Allow 2 1/2 hrs to walk but no cafes or toilets en route as such but plenty...More

We planned to stay in Whitstable and visit Canterbury. We were thinking of driving to Canterbury until we discovered the Crab and Winkle Way which ran between the two, mostly along an old railway track. It seems most people cycle. We chose to walk! It...More

This cycle route is mainly off road but does involve some busier road sections in Canterbury. There is a lovely section in the middle through the woods. A few steeper climbs and some nice long down hills. It's takes longer to cycle from whitstable to...More
