Despite living locally and seeing the Greta regualarly sailing, it took us a few years to book up a trip. We managed a near perfect day, the only extra thing to have completed the trip would have been a nice breeze to allow her to sail. Access to the boat is via a verticle ladder, looks worse than it is... More

I have wanted to take a trip on Greta for years and some friends finally booked a trip for 4 of us. The weather was hot, sunny, cloudless and very calm (the only drawback, as the time we spent under sail was both short and rather static - but it provides an excuse to book another trip in the hope... What a good day out. Had originally seen the Greta sail past me up the Swale while out for a walk about a year ago and was intrigued. Looked it up and found the relevant website. Finally took a trip on board with my wife yesterday. A lovely day and even I hardly felt cold up on deck almost the... More

Enjoyed the most amazing day sailing from Whitstable to the Maunsell Forts, while relaxing aboard Greta with Steve, who is the most welcoming skipper and host you could wish for. We had sunshine on the way out and cloud on the way back, but even a few spots of rain didn't dampen the experience. It was calming yet exhilarating, I... More

Greta leaves from Whitstable which is a small working harbour. We got the sails up almost immediately and sailed to the forts then the wind farm. Great fun and lovely to see a historic ship in regular use. We were very lucky with the weather as it was warm and not too windy - so no spray over the side!... More

Spent a great five and a half hours on Greta which was a great experience as part of a family celebration. Despite being a very windy day (I believe force 5) the barge was very steady in the capable hands of skipper Steve and his one man crew. We were allowed to take our own food and refreshments aboard but... More

I took a trip on Greta Barge to see the Maunsell Forts The boat people were fantastic, relaxed and served lots of tea and coffee. Sea was calm, we had lovely trip and returned with the sails up for part of the journey. I really enjoyed this trip, the boat has been conserved with great care, although it is 130... More

The trip was originally booked forOctoberbut the weather stopped it! As soon as the weather was ok we booked again and had a great day, only 8 people including there's made a nice intimate day, you felt more like. group of friends out for the day rather than customers. Tea and coffee kept coming all day and we went out... More

Had a brilliant day Saturday, up to the wind farm and red sand tower and a couple of hours sailing. The crew knowledgeable and friendly, Skipper Steve is a really nice bloke. Would highly recommend a trip on the Greta, well worth it. Thanks guys!
