Brilliant wine tour and tasting

We've been on a few wine tours around the world in the past but have to say this one was the best. Our guide (sorry but can't remember his name) was excellent. Very knowledgeable... read more

Went to the winter wine experience for my friends birthday. We arrive a little early but that was no problem as the shop is fantastic to browse. Unfortunately when it came time to gather for the wine tasting, they forgot us and left us in the shop! Luckily I asked and we were united with the rest of the wine... More

We've been on a few wine tours around the world in the past but have to say this one was the best. Our guide (sorry but can't remember his name) was excellent. Very knowledgeable about history, processes, science behind wine making and the wines themselves. A good selection of wines to taste finished off a great visit. Definitely would recommend... More

This is a great way to learn about the art of wine making and to sample a variety of English wines. The experience started with a tour round the vineyard and our guide explained the process from growing the vines to the bottling. All very interesting and even the rain didn't spoil it as they provide large umbrellas for those... More

The tour started in the fields where we learned about the actual vines, then into the grape pressing building and finally the bottling building. The guide was interesting, informative and happy to answer questions. We then came inside to be seated in the wine tasting area. We were treated to 7 wines, each of which were surprising good to taste.... More

My fiancé took me here to a tour of the vineyard and wine tasting. I didn't realise what went into making 1 bottle of wine, It was so interesting and the tour guide made it enjoyable. When we was tasting the wines it wasn't rushed and the guide explained every wine, what year it was made etc. We have already... More

We had an excellent day out here touring the vinyard, wine tasting followed by lunch at the Swan. The tour was fascinating and the guide was really informative. We tasted 8 wines, which I reluctantly had to start tipping away due to quite large measures before having eaten any lunch. All of the wines we tasted were amazing and Chapel... More

A very interesting tour around this vineyard with a trip through the vines and other parts of the process and then a tasting of seven different wines along with expert commentary along the way. If you are keen to go there is a really good restaurant there too.

A visit to Chapel Down wines at Tenterden was extended to us by a dear friend to celebrate her Birthday. an enjoyable visit extended my knowledge of the wine production business a little with an opportunity to taste a number of wines from their vineyards. The attached shop stocks a variety of very nice food products other than wine! An... More

The winery has three elements - the shop, wine tour and restaurant. All three give a super experience and could be visited independently. The shop is well stocked, not just with wines but with cheeses, pickles, preserves and culinary related goods - all of which are stylishly displayed. The wine tour was the main purpose of our visit and this... More

We had the pleasure of a tour of the Chapel Down vineyard last week. Our guide, Gavin, explained, in a very entertaining way, the geography of the vineyards (Chapel Down have several vineyards in the South of England), the different varieties of grape, the growing process and then the actual wine making process. This was topped off with a wonderful... More
