We enjoyed our tour of the vineyard and had an instructive and varied wine tasting afterwards. Just one point and that is our guide didn't have the greatest diction, but not didn't detract from our overall enjoyment. Our non-drinker was well looked after. We went on to lunch in the Swan Restaurant which I will review separately. This is a... More

Visited chapel down for wine tour and tasting. Gavin our tour guide was great. We got to learn all about the vineyard and methodology that goes into creating the wines which we love so much. After the tour we got to sit in the sunshine and taste a number of the wines produced by chapel down. Fantastic morning and fantastic... More

A birthday treat - Afternoon Tea and Tour Package. Started with a very informative walk around some of the vineyard - given a pocket history of the Company and shown the Bacchus and Chardonnay vines. We moved into the winery to be shown the press, vats and bottling process. A tasting of 8 of the wines was very enjoyable !... More

The tours were all booked up when we got there so we just set off on our own. The herb garden was lovely and good to see how well kept the vineyard is but we regretted not booking and learning more. We still enjoyed the free taster session and came away with a few bottles as a memento! There is... More

As a wheelchair user I was told it wasn't a problem for disabled people. 1st - the bar and restaurant are up stairs 2nd - The paths are gravel so not suitable for my wheelchair so I had to walk. The surface was very difficult for me to manage. 3rd - there was a lot of standing around listening to... More

The winery tour was interesting, informative and well done. They also have a small restaurant and shop where you can eat, taste their wines (often free) and buy wines, beer and associated goods. It's better to book a taxi from Tenterden before you taste!

We all really enjoyed our visit to Chapel Down Winery and especially enjoyed our guided tour around the place and how it all works. I learned a great amount about vineyards and wineries. I recommend this to all ages and the price is fairly reasonable. Our guide James was brilliant so a special mention to him. Thanks guys for a... More

After an initial wait, David was an informative guide. He was able to describe the history of the vineyard and the cultivation of the vines knowledgeably. We learnt about the whole process of wine making from picking-pressing-fermenting-racking-bottling. The actual tutorial on tasting and the wines tasting was excellent. Even the designated driver who had to 'spit out' enjoyed the experience.... More

We went here as part of a Deluxe gift experience. The day started with a glass of fizz overlooking the vineyard followed by a delicious lunch. The portion size was small but the food was well cooked and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. Then we had the tour, resplendent in our high viz jackets. The guide seemed knowledgeable and... Guided tour, meal and wine tasting. Tour was very informative, thank you Robert. 3 course meal was a delight. Curious brew on draft an added bonus. Wine tasting was the highlight. Once again Robert guided us through. Shop is well stocked and plenty of staff on hand. Great visit.
