Poor unfriendly service with extortionate prices £14 for a large glass of sauvignon blanc. This was during happy hour, when the price was queried we were told, in no uncertain terms "that's what it is" funny happy hour. On advice of friends asked for house white for next round even then had to remind staff that's it's happy hour as was going to ge charged full price. Won't be going back there.

If you like real ale steer clear of this place. Barman was rude and did not know his ales. As someone who enjoys real ales I asked for a pint of golden ale by Timothy Taylor's. Being a good yorkshire brew, it is unusual to find it so far down south, I asked him to serve it properly via a sparkler on the tap. In a blunt manner I was told none of his ales were served with a sparkler. I tried to explain that in certain parts of the country every ales is served this was but more importantly Timothy Taylor's is meant to be served this way. This went over his head and I was given a very rude look. I would like to know what the brewery would think about this and the fact that the customer should have their ale served however the want, not dictated by a barman whim. To add insult later on we were asked to move table because of the quiz very rudely by the landlord. Customer service was awful and I recommend anyone visiting tenterden to give this place a miss and goto the other pubs instead which were much more welcoming.

Been coming for some time now and the staff have upgraded and are bloody wonderful. Same can’t be said about the toilets. Regularly been served by a polite young boy called Nancy. Bar man with the receding hairline (Charlene) has also been very pleasant and happy to help. Couple of staff members are a bit odd but it’s a quirky place and just love being in there. Food is banging although the burger relish isn’t what it used to be but a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Bar workers who I think are called Alfina and Molly always uphold high levels of politeness and are happy to do whatever is asked and nothing seems to much. Food overall good and beer selections are ideal. Landlord George is a good crack and remains professional and engages in conversations with public and can’t be faulted. Games selections are dead and could do with a fruity. A stand alone chess table would be perfect to finish it off however the over blinged Xmas tree prevents a safe place to play. Could do with a cocktail list of actual cocktails to liven up my lips on a Saturday however this isn’t an option. Overall great staff, nice building and will be great when the barn is open for dutty whining.

Having been here twice, this pub has a warm and cosy feeling, it is suitably dark with low ceilings, comfy chairs and wooden floors.
Very easy to be in and good to stop and read the paper…friendly and atmospheric...

Not sure which, as upon entering one Sunday afternoom in Decembe we were greeted by the sight of youngsters spread out on tables in both front bars either colouring, on Ipads, or generally making quite a noise, seemigly with no restraint from their overly indulgent mummies !
Needless to say we left after one drink as we noticed others doing and will be trying the newly refurbished 'White Lion' instead. A real shame as at other times its a really welcoming pub full of 'adults' !

Being Tenterden locals, we spent the afternoon at the Woolpack on the Sunday after the Coronation. There was a real ale festival and a great covers rock band called Redback. Loved their set. We sat in the garden out in the sunshine. The staff were great, very helpful and working hard. We had a light lunch which we really enjoyed. Our grand-daughter loved the climbing frame and running around with other children. What more can you ask for? See you again soon Woolpack!

Had a drink in here a couple of weeks ago and was served by Rosie. She was absolutely lovely and I had the most refreshing pint. Think I’ve found my new local! Thank you team Woolpack!
