We visited on Saturday 3rd December, I believe it was the first "Santa Special" of the year. It is difficult to give a full review of the Railway itself, as visited specifically to visit Santa. However, as a "Visit to Santa" experience it was disappointing. Having been promised a trip to the "North Pole", were expecting to be able to... More

Many thanks for your review Zadie C. We're sorry that you were disappointed with some aspects of your visit. We're also disappointed that you didn't raise your concerns with us whilst you were here, as Santa would have been only too pleased to correct any perceived deficiency. Whilst children under 18 months don't need a ticket and travel completely free... More

The magic starts when you obtain you tickets from the ticket office at the station. You are transported back to the 50s when the pace of like was less frantic than now We boarded a wonderful steam train with its authentic guard welcoming you aboard. The return trip last about 1 hour but during this period you are given presents... More

We've been on the Santa Special today and we're ALL still smiling! We had a great time and thank you to all the staff and volunteers who worked hard to make it such a wonderful day. Our train left at 1.25pm. We paid extra to go first class, so we (4 adults and 2 children) had a warm and christmassy... More

We went on the Real Train. What an experience. You have to ring and pre-book so you can place your your food order. An evening on a steam train, chugging through the Kent countryside, sampling a selection of real ales. Only £2.50 a pint. Some cider and wine was available as well. The food was superb. You had choice of... More

According to the broucher we were giving about tenterden this was a must, so we decided to stride along and visited this old railway station. Not far of the town, and with nice views of the fields around, this railway station is sure a good place to visit if you are looking for something to do. Didn't manage to get... More

We travelled on a return ticket to Bodium and back. The journey was a free outing for Tenterden residents, and was a really great experience. We also took our step Grandson who enjoyed the trip very much

Would recommend this as a brilliant day trip to Bodium Castle and back, through the best Kent countryside. Its a must, the steam trains are excellent, you travel back in time.

a lovely trip with my son in the late autumn. Having passed this line many times before and usually going to the Bluebell line i thought we would try something further afield. Not disappointed lovely scenic trip and even at Bodium, with an opportunity to go to the castle, a quick trip into the Cavell and Unknown Soldiers restored coach... More
