A Gem
Aug 2019 • Friends
The Redhead does not play golf, but her nephew (Tom) does. Whilst holidaying nearby we rang and were guided through the process for visitors. A warm welcome in the Pro Shop (County Card discount) and by members. Despite 32 degrees we both played well - Tom was level par - on a really pretty and well maintained parkland course. If only I lived locally!

Fantastic Meal
Jan 2018 • Friends
I was invited to a Past Captains lunch last Saturday. It was great being amongst old friends. I was made very welcome and the food was second to none. Together with the excellent service and companionship it was a brilliant afternoon. Although it is a golf club I understand that none members are allowed to use the restaurant.

Great Venue
Oct 2017 • Friends
Played this course with our Golf Society yesterday. Have to say it is the best venue we've played this year, Quite a testing course as lots of trees but the fairways were lush but fast, the greens were excellent and the rough was manageable. We were welcomed with bacon rolls and coffee and had an excellent 2 course meal plus coffee after the round. Good changing facilities with nice showers and all the staff from secretary to people behind the bar were friendly and helpful, we shall return.

I'd got back to play anytime!

Despite the damp conditions, I found the fairways and greens in good condition. Tight front nine with tree lined fairways and more open back nine.
The new professional welcomed us with a smile and we struck up a conversation. Stud bar is average but serves a purpose, Sky TV, nice beer and polite lady at the bar.

Saturday afternoon I found myself in Sittingbourne and had 3hours to kill. I googled the course and tried to play 9 holes or practice. The course looked empty yet when I enquired in the pro shop "weekends is members only" ok no problem would it be possible to hit a few shots on the range I have my own balls ? "that's not possible" I didn't have a problem with that but what was disappointing was the tone and manner. I am a member of a private golf club and have been for thirty years and also run a very large society that play lots of private clubs, safe to say Sittingbourne will not be on the list of courses to play.

shame about the greens

Worst greens I have played this year, with good fairways and Tees this spoilt our visit. Clubhouse good, Lady behind bar excellent, breakfast good, shame about the putting surface.
