Visited with my three kids. The place isn’t well sign posted from where you park at the postcode supplied. However once found there is a steep metal stair case no good for people in wheel chairs or uneasy on their feet. Once there the price...More

a quirky little line and ideal day out for young children. We visited during the Jack the Station cat event. The railway's fares are already very reasonable, and they don't charge extra when holding special events. We had taken our 1 year old daughter who...More

What a lovely wee ditty of a trip. I mean, the sight out the window is pretty bleak (it is Sittingbourne after all) but the cute station and lovely play area at Kemsley more than made up for it. All lovely volunteers, and really helpful....More

In operation since 1904, this little narrow gauge railway is an absolute gem. The trip is about two miles in each direction and it is run by a group of enthusiastic volunteers with no external funding all bar their own and for this, I take...More

A lovely little original industrial line with loads of character. Staff very pleasant and happy and helpful. Facilities are very smart and clean. I'd recommend a visit to anyone who has 2 or 3 hours spare and fancies a steam engine ride.

Lovely local train ride, Saw a part of the town I didn't know. Though it runs through the industrial area that was what it was built for. Excellent!

Although I have lived in Kent for 40 years this was my first visit yesterday when I came here with my son. I am not sure why people complain about the setting or the industry - after all it was an industrial railway and you...More

This is our 3rd or 4th visit this year to the S&KLR. We are never disappointed. The train journey is always a winner with our two children, 6 and 4 years old. The treasure hunt for the children always keeps them entertained and the refreshments...More

Yes, there is free parking at Sittingbourne Viaduct - follow the signs to Sittingbourne Retail Park, first left between McDonalds and KFC then right and left. It is a short walk to our entrance behind Pizza Hut. Use ME10 2XD... More
