Good food

Service a little chaotic to start with but the food was well worth the wait. Lovely inside and outside in the garden

Visited The Black Horse for a meal and was disappointed in a few things. The restaurant part was freezing and empty and the bar was full of loud youngsters who were very loud but a bit warmer than the restaurant. The staff were friendly but didn't seem to know much about the menu. The table we sat at after moving... More

Worst pub lunch I've had for a long time. Produced a menu but most that was on there they didn't have. What we chose was poor. Would not visit again

The countryside around Pluckley was beautiful in springtime, with blossoming orchards stretching alll the way to Little Chart where the author H.E.Bates lived. Pluckley is a small, quaint village with a lovely church, family butchers, cricket pitch and the Black Horse pub which dates back to the 15th century. The setting was the backdrop for the Darling Buds of May... More

Visited the pub for a light lunch and drinks before a local circular walk. The staff we very efficient and friendly and although the menu is not wide ranging the food we did have was excellent. When we enquired about a local B&B for a future over night visit to Pluckley the girls behind the bar could not have been... More

Lovely pub right in the middle of Pluckley. We sat in the beer garden . We didn't eat but the food did look nice . It was very busy so that's always a good sign ! The barmaid was very friendly and welcoming

We have been there after a Pub walk and everything was fine. Dog and family friendly pub. Also the young ladies behind the bar were very helpful.

Had a couple of pints in a wonderful 15th century pub, 11 fireplaces apparently and beams everywhere. Landlord showed me the oldest part of the pub, and staff couldn't have been more friendlier. Lovely time, thank you all. John
