Wow what a quirky place. Just has the strangest decor. As an example the the candles on our table were inside two silver skulls! The toilet has a big red/green light to let you know if it's free!
Quite a small place but feels so cozy and welcoming. The service is so friendly as are the customers. If this place was in London would be full of hipster posers in beards but here it's just full of locals.
It's that good, we really didnt want to leave to get our train! How good a place is that?

The interiour reminded my of TGI's in the 90's, full of clutter. Mirrors, barbers chairs, knick knacks etc. The staff were less like staff and more like your mates, and to be honest, with the prices they charged there, you felt like you were on 'mates rates'.
If you want a drink in a place with character. this is the place to go. If you want to drink something exceptional. this is the place to go.
At the end of the evening on Friday night, i went back in and shock the owner by the hand. And told him, face to face....... he has a great bar.
I'll be back, even if it is two hours to get there from North of London.

Fez is a small, quirky, low key pub/bar with a small menu and good vibes. The decor is vintage and eclectic, full of old bits and bobs. The bar staff were super friendly and helpful. Lots of locals inside and fantastic music, everyone having a laugh and dancing. Really recommend to anyone looking for a drink and/or a whole night out (we stayed til closing)

Absolutely Disgusting! Walked To The Entrance Door With My Partner Both Completely Sober, Got Accused Of Having Too Much Then The ‘OWNER’ Turned To The Customers Inside & Told Them We Was Doing Drugs When We Absolutely Wasn’t! Owner Himself Looked Out Of His Nut. We Was Customers Previously But Never Will I Walk In There Again. RUDE & INAPPROPRIATE

Im not too sure about the drink quality but I am NOT a fan of the racist caractures and art of black and brown people. The moment i stepped in there was an image of a black man eating a 'banana' flavoured yougurt. I walked to the bar and saw images of arab men created as a way to mock people who wear scarfs and turbans.
I spoke to the bar tender and as an arab woman I was deeply shocked and said this is highly innapropriate to which she said "im not too sure" .
Not for me as my culture/ethnicity is not here to be mocked by a wealthy white man.

This place is great for a selection of gins, beer and cider at a really reasonable price. It’s super small which makes it really cosy and a great atmosphere. All of the signs and memorabilia are all so unique (even a toll from 1912) there’s never ending pieces to look at! Lovely for a night out for drinks with pals.

Brilliant bar filled with funky paraphernalia assembled with the eye of an artist. You are cocooned in its curious embrace, not least because the regulars give such a warmth of welcome. I loved it and it goes a long way towards explaining why I fell in love with Margate.

I had been in the bar all afternoon spending good money and also on previous visits buying their £9 a time Margaritas …. When a local just walked to the front of the bar ignoring anyone queuing and the bar owner pulled up his pint in front of all the people stupid enough to queue!! When I questioned this the reply was “ he is a regular customer” enough said? I hope any passing trade does just that and keeps on passing!!!

We visited on Ukulele night (Tuesdays) and it was one of the best pub nights we have had in a while. Really interesting venue with odd bits and bobs all over the walls, the Uke band were amazing with a combination of new covers and old shanty classic, they handed out kazoos too! Almost a shame we don't live in Margate to go every Tuesday :)

The decor and the vibe as we walked in was really fun. There were some people dancing and it looked like a cool place to be. We went to sit in the waltzer chair near the entrance. My boyfriend went to the bar to see what drinks were on offer and there were no menus and no display. I went to join him as he started ordering himself an alcoholic slushie. I asked the lady serving what drinks there were as there were no menus, she looked blankly at me and rudely asked me what did I want. As a neurodivergent person I struggle to make a decision without knowing what’s available and I don’t have a particular thing I drink. She looked annoyed about giving me some options and eventually I ordered wine and went to sit down.
When my boyfriend later went to ask about the t shirts on display she could not have been nicer to him which just seemed really weird after being so off with me. As we left she even waved to him and totally ignored me! Shame as it tarred my experience and later we met the very lovely Ruby who also works at the bar who could not have been nicer.

Can anyone tell me if the Fez is OK with admitting young teenagers during afternoon hours? I want to see a band there in a couple of weeks but don't fancy a 2 hour drive there if the 13 year old member of the family can't come in and watch...
