Probably okay if you just want a drink.

We took winter's trip along the coast to Margate to see the latest exhibition at The Turner, and fancied a pint and a snack. We'd not tried Milo's but saw that they did wraps and was licensed so thought we'd give it a go. Only one choice of beer on tap, but there were bottled European beers behind the bar. Whether it's just a winter menu, or whether the normal choice is limited to wraps I'm not sure, but that was all that was advertised. It was very quiet inside, just a couple of people having coffee, but the staff, whilst not actively unfriendly, seemed disinterested. Considering how quiet it was, service was very slow. The wraps were fine - my wife had Mozzarella and tomato, I had Falafel & Hummous. They came with a small bowl of tortilla chips and a dip. The dip was obviously bought in, but not unpleasant, the tortilla chips were some kind of weirdly flavoured things that didn't really work with the dip (plain tortillas, or better still a small side salad would have been preferable). The low banquet (rather tired looking leather) seating combined with tall tiny tables made it a little difficult to eat, not helped by the wraps being presented on thick wooden boards with no edge. The tables have either been very badly stripped, or are in desperate need of a varnish - shabby, without the 'chic'. There's a nice view across the harbour, and on a less blustery day it would have been nice to sit outside. I'm not sure I'm impressed enough to bother going back though. It's not awful by any means, and friendlier, faster service, a tweak to the menu, and giving the place a little TLC could make it a nice spot. As it is, it's not quite there.

Good for a little drink

Small little place to grab a nice alcoholic drink, quiet environment with nice seating and views of Margate. The cheeky wink from the lad at the bar when I left made me feel like I was welcome to return, so looks like I'll be returning... But with my boyfriend :-)

A Bar for All Seasons
Come rain or shine there's always a warm welcome at Milo's. Whether you want a coffee or something stronger there is a wide choice of wine and beers. The regular customers are interesting and friendly people. The Staff are polite and efficient. Visitors to Margate are always welcome.

Warm iced tea
I used to frequent this place when it first opened, but on returning there recently I was disappointed. My mum was visiting and I decided to take her here, it was a warm sunny day and I'd say around a third of the outside tables were occupied (with nobody sitting inside). We went in and ordered a hot chocolate and an iced tea, and the lady behind the bar was clearly busy and seemed to be the only person there. She was a little short with us when we asked if they accepted card payment and avoided eye contact with us the entire time. She seemed very unfriendly and we felt like we were a major inconvenience. After taking our order she offered to bring our drinks out after us. We were waiting for about 10 minutes, which seemed quite a long time for two drinks. When my iced tea arrived it was actually warm, and tasted horrible. The hot chocolate was so hot my mum couldn't drink it for five minutes, by which time she was gasping for a drink! I didn't dare say anything as the woman serving us seemed so bad tempered already. Sadly I don't think I will be going back here, there are much nicer places to have a drink in Margate. I think they could up their game a bit when it comes to service. Manners cost nothing.

Well located coffee bar with snacks and alcohol.
Good location right on the sea front with a seating area outside in fine weather. I haven't tried the snacks but the coffee is very good and there's alcohol available if requires. The staff have always been very pleasant to us. It's a pity that there aren't many more places like this around.

cafe bar with a view
Great little cafe bar which has seats out on the pavement and on the cobbles opposite - sit, watch and enjoy the eclectic world of Margate pass by!

Right in the heart of old town
This bar is right on the sea front near the turner , only had drinks here so can't comment on food although the place is nice and comfortable to have a coffee or an evening drink .
