Evening in the rain
Aug 2021
A rainy early evening stroll, but the park was open, and there were still people using the facilities.
The park contains a Bowls club, a children's playground, a football pitch and club, and lots of open space.

Pleasant stroll
Apr 2021
A pleasant stroll on a sunny, but cold Easter Holiday.
The park was full of dog walkers, and children playing on the swings and rides.
There is a bowls club, and a football club based inside.

Reasonable large space.

Fairly pleasant large park behind Cliftonville.
Decent five-a-side pitch, children's playground, cafe, bowled-grass area for sport, and good route for jogging/cycling around. Liked the wooden sculptures dotted around, which suggests the council have put some additional effort into maintaining the park.

...But it's still Margate, so unlike London parks, there are currently: caravans parked on it, dog walkers whose cultivated tastes drew them towards chosing mastiffs and pitbull, rather than Yorkshire terriers when opting for dog ownership.

Also, fair amount of dogs**t around and as previous poster mentioned, don't be surprised to find deliberately smashed bottles strewing pathways. Can't imagine it's a safe cut-through late at night.

Pleasant walk
Jun 2019 • Couples
Took my dogs for a walk to this park for a change and was very impressed with how clean and tidy it was , compared to another park I have been to recently. It’s nice that they have empty poo bins for when the
Dog does his business, nice play area for the kids , a cafe aswell . But what brighten up my walk was seeing the tree carvings . I only took a Picture of one but there was a mushroom 🍄 an owl 🦉 and others .

A park for all seasons.
Apr 2019 • Couples
Dane Park has not always had the best reputation, but lately it has been spruced up and feels altogether a different place. The trees and bushes and undergrowth have been pruned back and some wonderful wood sculptures now stand around near the children's play park. The play park is now a very popular place with the local toddler population.
The fountain has been cleaned up and painted, just a shame it can't work again.
The park really comes to life at the weekends when various youth football teams take to the main grass where pitches are marked out.
Every day many local dog walkers are seen around the park, dogs running free for the most part as it is a relatively safe place.

More of a “common” than a park
Nov 2018 • Couples
Its mostly not gated green area so l would say its a common not a park. Its ok for a walk with a dog or kick about with your kid. Can be messy at times especially in a summer when people leave rubbish behind. Wouldn’t go there after dark :/ but l wouldn’t go wondering in any park anywhere after dark so no exception here ;)

Lovely green space with small cafe hut and bowls in summer months.

No flower beds anymore or working fountain but a nice green park to walk the dogs or enjoy some outdoor life. There is a play area for the small kids and a court for football or other ball games. Lots of mature trees and shrubs for wildlife too. A walk round the park can be done in 10 minutes so not that big.
