This is a very relaxing beach. It doesn't seem to get as crowded as Margate and Westgate. There's sand and shells and some pebbles. There are rocks - so have some footwear handy. Cafe close by for the obligatory icecream and lolly or chips etc. We think it's great. Dogs allowed from end Sept (or before 8am or after 6pm)

If you want love the hustle and bustle of Margate for the shops, galleries, bars and nightlife but also want some quiet time on the beach Westbrook Bay is for you! A five minute walk along the coast takes you to a beautifully secluded sandy beach adorned with gorgeous beach huts in every shade of the rainbow. There's a small... More

Brilliant esplanade to walk along and push a wheelchair - nice and smooth for the wheelchair occupant, reasonably flat for the pusher. Long enough for good exercise, well kept, and fine, English beach to look at. Ice cream available at more than one point, toilets available and clean

We take our grandchildren down to the beach, they love it, easy to reach the water and the tide doesn't come right in to the wall, so kids can enjoy the pleasure all day, toilets and a cafe with a little shop for your buckets and spades etc. Easy access for wheelchairs.

Favourite beach and can park right on the front for free. No big cafe and away from the amusements of Margate making it a cheap day out for the kids.

I went to this beach with some of my friend and had a great time. The beach was very quite and peaceful. There is nearby parking and I spent a good few hours here with a picnic

beautiful beach, much calmer and quieter than Margate itself - and easy to park nearby. Excellent cafe - what's not to like?! (I was fortunate to have excellent weather too!)

Quieter than the main sands and more likely to be used by locals, this beach is among my favorites. Lifeguard station, refreshment hut, free toilets and West Bay Cafe all service this beach.

OK, no ice-cream parlours etc but easy parking and endless sand with which to help the kids build castles.
