This beach is clean and sandy perfect on a sunny day. But good for a stroll at any time lots of bars and eateries close by as well.

The main sands are a great place to swim from, even for those (like me) who instinctively are anxious around the idea of sea swimming. Feels safe and at times there are lifeguards too. Sand is generally clean. Teenagers enjoyed burying each other in it....More

Margate may not have much but the beach is good. Granddaughter who is 12 lost sight of our position when going down to the water and the lifeguards were excellent. Very caring and professional.

Margate has a nice beach thats where it stops though. The amount of litter everwhere is just ridiculous. Also witnessed 3 drug dealers threatening to kill each other at Margate station. Not a nice day so avoid at all costs

Another beautiful day return tri p from London St Pancras 1hr 30min and the seaside it 5-7 min walk from Margate train station. Margate is a sandy beach very nice to have picnic by the sea. Surrounded by cafes and shops.
