This is probably the best show I have seen for years. Absolutely amazing cast and performance. Better than the West End. Well done to everybody including the Theatre Royale staff.Wonderful evening. CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY INVOLVED.

beautiful building and lovely staff, comfortable seating. could do with some extra toilets as the que was very long. Also no card machine for the bar which can be frustrating if you have no cash. but there was beauty in every corner of this building and we loved looking at the ceiling.

The wife and i went and saw him last week and yet again it was super...we always try and book the box seats as there is slightly more leg room than the stalls and you sometimes get to shake the hands of the performers at the end...thanks John for that.

Lovely quaint theatre that i hope does not close as the winte gardens does not have the same attraction for me.The staff or volunteers are great!

A beautiful little old theatre. We were there to see Dr Phil Hammond. He was great and we were glad we had made the journey from Surrey. One small gripe, actually husband was quite peeved at the time. The bar area is tiny and there was a big queue so we decided to wait till it had cleared but although we returned before the interval had finished, the staff were busy closing the bar shutters. Dr Phil was still signing books so the show was definitely not about to restart. A drink in the interval would have finished the evening off perfectly

Just returned home from a show. Great show, beautiful theatre rude and arrogant staff. As my mother is a regular follower of tonight's act we are well aware of the no filming or photo policy. We were happily enjoying the interval when an ignorant women launched into a tirade about me filming and having my phone out and that if she saw it out again she would remove me. This was in front of a lot of people. Taken a back I said its the interval and I have just got my phone out, I certainly haven't had it out throughout the show!! still not listening again she ranted she would remove me. I was embarrassed and so were the people around me. Off I went to find her to put her straight, it was actually a girl in front of me an over zealous member of staff had accused of filming at the beginning of the show, who quite clearly wasn't and offered to show her the phone to prove it, but no she couldn't manage that as then she would have been proved wrong.

The arrogant woman had also come to have a go at this girl even though she wasn't filming!! But first member of staff had pointed me out by mistake so she launched into me instead. To be fair I got a half hearted apology from both, but both should have been apologising to the young girl in front!! They were totally wrong and out of order!!

Toilet hurriers also hurried my mum , who I might add is 74 so much that she fell down a step coming out of the toilet and hurt herself!! my mum should not have to pay for an evening out and then be told to hurry up back to her seat. I notice not one member of staff helped my mum back to her seat or let me know that she had fallen, lucky she was not badly hurt, no wonder your member of staff was crying after hurrying her up, what type of people are you??

Never will I let my mother go there again!!

I think the woman with dark hair had got a bit of power and it had gone to her head.

What a fantastic venue, very small and intimate, mostly run by volunteers, what a gem of history.
Some very famous faces have performed here as well.

Yes the building looks a bit tired, but the atmosphere inside this old theatre was magical. Up close to the performers you can't help but feel immersed in the show.
The Fishermans Friends were on great form, singing and chatting about life in Cornwall and things in general. Definitely recommend both the venue and the Fishermans Friends for a great feel good night out.

Visited again to see Rich Hall. Sat upstairs this time with a great view of the stage. Only complaints are that some of the seats need a little tlc (worn armrests etc) and it can get quite warm in there during the show, but otherwise a lovely place to spend an evening.
