First time visiting the Margate Royal and we loved it! Lots of character a really traditional theatre, in this modern world a real treat to be entertained in a wonderful theatre by the seaside.

We attended a show compered by LUNATRAKTORS, an amusing folk duo supported by a number of female acts based around Power of Women and International Women’s Day. The show combined dance, song and music, poetry and of course old folk, otherwise known as Broken Folk by Lunatraktors themselves. The actual theatre oozes character and a long history dating back originally to the 18th century and is regularly seen to stage famous acts from London’s west end as well as local talent. A very cosy venue in a traditional style with balconies and boxes and magnificent decor. If anything could be improved it would be the external structure that needs a bit of TLC.

Jimeoin: Ramble On!...... memories from my youth. Saw him last year and so looked forward to seeing him again. Show has no obvious theme.... just as it says him chatting and rambling on! Very funny, talking about everyday hings that you can relate to. Usual (?) musical ending to add a little bit of somethiong different. Great show. Theatre great, staff great. Hope this great little old theatre continues to be successful.... we need to keep places like this thriving.

What an amazing experience - booked Aladdin here (Boxing Day) for my grand-daughters birthday. I can’t remember the last time I saw a Panto but also can’t remember when I laughed so much. Had tears rolling down........absolutely brilliant performance and have to say that it was a fantastic, professional show. I would recommend it to anyone, any age, and will definitely go to see their next performance.
