Never a good experience and now it's CLOSED

Always kept trying this place and somehow it just never worked - mediocre service and coffee several times in spite of the setting and concept of individual outlets throughout the building. I have high hopes for the new tenants 😊

NOT GREAT
Oct 2016 • Family
Food was of an ok quality however the portions were small when compared to the prices

service was slow even though you order at till and not all tables were in use

Coffee was in a very small cup -same price as Costa but half the size

All food was covered in ground pepper

Overall we left hungry and thirsty

This is a useful place to stop off for a snack in Hythe. They serve a variety of light bites, cakes and very good coffee. I believe the owner is Dutch, so you get good pastries. The only problem is that my favourite (a marzipan cake) is usually not available. The ambience is relaxed, there are plenty of books to thumb through, and you can wander around and take a look at the retail outlets which include books, toys, and decorative arts.

Good food, quirky atmosphere and little shops too.
The food is freshly made and delicious, good range of drinks. Eat, then explore the range of little shop/stalls. Books, toys, fashion, artwork. Varied and interesting. Well worth a visit.

Lovely place, charming people

This lovely chic café is in a stylish old building and there are lots of interesting little shops within it, selling books, craft, art, etc. Interesting lunch/snack menu, delicious cake, best coffee in Hythe. Lovely staff who get to know their regulars, but are equally welcoming to visitors.
If you're looking for a little local collective with bags of character and more to offer than the big chain cafes pay this place a visit and you won't be disappointed.

Artesan cafe treat

Lovely artesan cafe in central Hythe. Lovely lunch menu with an array of odds and ends to look at and purchase. 'Shabby chic' flavour with a super friendly service.
Recommend the hot chocalates and home made cakes!

Quick afternoon bite

Wanted something a bit healthier than burgers or fish and chips. Had a nice panino (spicy Spaniard) which was tasty. Very clean surroundings, polite staff and free wifi. Thanks very much.

Good for lunch
Jul 2015 • Couples
Limited choice of baguettes and Panini's, but more than acceptable, and they know what they can deliver without disappointing - sometimes less is more! Staff very pleasant and keen to ensure you have a good experience - we often have lunch in here if we are visiting Hythe
