This is well worth the walk out, it gives great views both out to see and back along the seafront. Unusual design adds interest and the walking is flat and level so is accessable to most.

This is simply a walk out along a jetty but the best bits are the views back on the town. There is a little tower at the end which you can go up to get a full unobstructed 360 degree vista. It is a good walk in any weather (although it is closed if the sea is rough as it... More

If you plan on walking on Neptune's Arm make sure the tide is in, it can get smelly. It can certainly blow the cobwebs away. Pleased that they named the end Cartwright's Point after an old school friend and a good supporter of Herne Bay RNLI.

Wander out and along Neptunes Arm which spans out from Herne Bays seafront giving protection for the small boats moored up. Whilst here you can look back at the sea front of Herne Bay. Good advantage point and to see the end of the pier from a different angle

a pleasant walk to get a different view of the area, nothing there ( toilets cafe, shop )but level clean and tidy, good for a wheelchair or pram walk, but not good for very young walkers as they might fall between the railings

Best visited at high tide, it is worth the walk to the end of Neptunes Arms to gain a different view of the harbour and Herne Bays seafront.

Perfect If you want to walk out into the water with out getting wet. Nothing going on just a nice walk climb the steps and talk back. Safe and sturdy.

Neptune's Arm provides a simple alternative to the pier. Built as a safewater harbour, it has provided a seawall walk into the water at high tide, and a view of small craft resting on the mud at low tide.
