I regularly go to the Kavanagh with my husband or my friend and love that it is not too big inside each auditorium. You can see the big new releases as well as occasional showings of other films on a Wednesday, and the NT live broadcasts.

I am ashamed that despite living in Herne Bay for a little over fifteen years and being aware of the Kavanagh Cinema it is only today that I made my first visit.
My three daugher's, my wife and I attended a lunch time showing. We all had a drink and the girls had some popcorn and a bar of chocolate and the whole event cost just over £50. The tickets of somewhere like the Odeon etc would have cost more than this alone without any treats for the film.
We all liked the cosiness of the auditorium but even so the screen was a good size and the sound was at a comfortable level that was not too loud.
Although we only visited for the first time today we are already planning to return for a series of films our children want to see and it is likely we will also attend some day time showings on days off etc.
A little gem that we are glad we found. True, it is not the last word in cinema entertainment and this is reflected in the price but that said we are very happy and will be returning.

I would have given this cinema a top rating but there was an incident. We were being served by a new member of staff, a young lad. He made a mistake with the drink, I told him not to worry we would have it anyway. A man who I presume was the manager then came over and completely belittled the new member of staff. Infront of everyone. Rolling his eyes and announcing "he's new that one" those were the exact words used.

This poor lad looked like he wanted the ground to eat him up, the manager then persisted infront of the que of people to tell him he needed to focus.

We have all been new at a job, we have all made mistakes, how those mistakes are handled make all the difference. Humiliating someone is never the solution.

Anyway we went off to watch sing 2 and the kids enjoyed the experience. No faults with anything other than this. Perhaps more manager training might be worth looking in to.

Booked to see Spiderman but unfortunately my wife got flu. They will not refund or credit us. Have been a very regular customer. Poor show and they will now loose our business

Value for money and a trip to the cinema isn't something I've had together in a long while. My local used to be Bluewater.

The Kavanagh Cinema is a gem! I just love the cinema for transporting myself away to another world for a couple of hours... and here it's just a fiver a ticket!

Had a great evening seeing the Aretha Franklin biopic, "Respect"... fantastic!

They show the new releases and more, great sound, lovely staff and spotlessly clean too!

Covid wise all staff wore masks. There was plenty of space to distance and it was properly clean

Hot, soft and alcoholic drinks and a big range of refreshments at sensible prices.

Yep, a night at this cinema is just the ticket. I'll be back! 🙄

Lovely little cinema, good value, clean & tidy. Nice staff and right next to a massive car park.
We took our toddler for his first ever cinema experience to an autism friendly screening and this worked well for us.

The staff conducted themselves perfectly throughout this debacle.... Went to watch the live performance that was being broadcast live throughout the UK into differing venues. Basically the satellite went down and there was no sound ..... We left 45 mins after it was meant to be being broadcast. Only to learn later that the satellite came back and people still waiting caught the end. Due to being disabled I am unable to attend a theatre in London and was looking forward to seeing this immensely.
Being a large lady ( due to illness ) the chairs were VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and small, and very low. But, this is nit picking. Overall a bad experience but not the cinemas fault. I will definitely be returning for a screening of something soon ... this is a lovely little quaint cinema .. very old fashioned, independent and so different from today's big screens .... lovely addition to the bay

Reasonably comfy seats and cheap ticket price. Currently the car park is free for 2 hours too. Central location, friendly staff. Two screens so a choice of films. Has all current releases, you can book for seats in advance (ie for Star Wars etc). Good value local cinema.
