Stunning woods for a beautiful lazy weekend walk. The perfect spot for a picnic now the weather is getting warmer. Our favourite place for a stroll.

Sadly this lovely place has finally become a big dog toilet. Went today thinking the summer months and increased usage by people would encourage a responsible mind set. But no. It's worse than ever. This wood is just outside Herne Bay and leads to Clowes Wood in Whitstable. It's a relaxing place to visit. Highly recommended. *** There's no facilities at this location.***

Sadly this lovely spot has been taken over by... More

West Blean Woods has the advantage that there are cycle paths as well as walking paths. I used to cycle through West Blean Woods twice a day when cycling to and from services in the cathedral
