Fantastic meal

My partner and myself went out for dinner a day before Valentine's day. This was the first time we had been without the children for over a year, so we were really hoping for a nice meal. The Limes did not disappoint. My partner had the steak and ale pie which he said was lovely. I had the vegetarian burger. We ordered loaded chips on he side..absolutely delicious. We also had a fantastic desert. Although not the cheapest for dinner it was well worth the money. They also had a jazz band upstairs. The girl serving was very attentive without being disruptive and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend

Quick drink.

Popped in for a quick drink on a wet and windy evening.

Nice place....good sized tv and good quick service.

Was a little cold in there and the drinks are on the pricey side, but overall a lovely place to stop for a drink.

Good atmosphere

Six of us visited for a drink and enjoyed thd atmosphere. Like most pubs in this town, it served delicious Shepherd Neame beer and whilst we didn't eat, the menu looked interesting.

Staff were very friendly. Even when as usual at a dinner party no one can remember what they’ve ordered!
Wait staff were attentive and weren’t put off by playful children.
Head waitress was extremely helpful when she was told about my allergy and realised its extent. Though food hadn’t been prepared for it from prior orders, the chef made a lovely meal. They kept checking on me, offered a complimentary drink, looked after the children and elders well.

Visited on recent weekend break, excellent choices of beers, and the Burger and Sweet Potatoes were scrumptious.
Nice atmosphere, large screens for sport.

Poor service
Feb 2018 • Friends
We popped in for a coffee. 25 minutes after ordering, the coffee finally arrived with no apology or explanation. Apparently there was a problem with the coffee machine. But that doesn't stop the staff from saying sorry for the delay! We would have stayed for lunch but decided judging from that experience lunch would take at least an hour to arrive! Staff need some training in the value of communication.

To be honest it was just bleh...

Meet with friends there and had a pint of lookalike beer and then settled for dinner.

The menu was actually quite vast but seemed overly wrought. The food came and was ok ...

Not peculiarly cheap.... Not horribly expensive...

The real issue is the staff, inexperienced slow and not really engaged with the process, even the manager didn't seem to be able to summon enthusiasm!

Staff prefer themselves to serving customers

Food was reasonable - but pretty basic and much the same across the 'chain'. A little overpriced. Would have expected a good level of service for the price but this was sadly lacking - little attention, no wiping down of table and when asked where a particular dish was we were rather snootily informed that "We are very busy you know".
Not impressed - plenty of far superior eateries in Favesham......and cheaper too! In the same week we ate at The Three Mariners, The Sun, The Phoenix, Red Sails and The Anchor......all were superior and much more pleasant all round!
