Watching football and rugby
Sep 2018 • Family
The rec is due a overhaul and it does show. But the pitches are well looked after and an asset for the town with there many football teams and the Towns rugby club which uses the old gate keepers house as a club house with a bar for drinks after the and during home games and also in the evenings. The changing rooms are OK/ There is also a kiddies area with a host of things to do for the young ones and even a small area for stakeboeards and the like. Does have a drug problem during the evening. good for good walkers and even picnics

Amazing!

Simply love this place. We are so lucky to have this place in Faversham. With young children this park has become our second garden. There's so much space to play and the play equipment is fab; safe and in good condition. Perfect park to walk dogs and there is also a skate park and so much room to enjoy picnics in the summer. During warmer times there is also an ice cream van that stops and the lady serving is an absolute treasure. X

Great open space
Feb 2017 • Solo
Well used / popular open space. With tarmaced walk around the edge, plenty of sports facilities and well used childrens playground. Plenty of bins available (rubbish and dog). Walkable to the town centre. Chip shop and convenience store set across from it.

Big open space. Ideal for children. But look where you walk.

Huge open space. You can let you children run free. Although it's worth keeping an eye on the floor for dog business and cans. Which you'll sometimes fine.

There are twtwo play parks. One for smaller children. And one for bigger ones. As well as a fenced basketball court. Which are in good condition. At the weekends during the season, there will be football and rugby matches. And it's always a nice atmosphere.

For older children there's also a little skating half pipe. And there's a little car park. I wouldn't use the toilets there. They aren't nice. I take a potty for my daughter. Far more hygienic. All in all a decent place for children to run off steam.

I love The RecI would really love to give it a great review but, as with many other public spaces, due to the increasing amount of "out of hours" anti social behaviour that goes on there my advice is to keep out until the Police and Council have regained control of the "Dark Hours"
