I love this place. Simple, no frills cinema, with afforable prices. I would choose this over a multiplex any day. Sound and picture quality are good too! Support local, keep going to the Royal Cinema. We are lucky to have it!

This cinema is fantastic! We never go anywhere else. So reasonably priced and the staff are always so welcoming.
The cinema itself is a lovely old building. So you want to support small business and have a unique cinema visit, this is the place for you. We love it

For a trip down memory lane, you can't beat the Royal cinema. A huge auditorium, showing one film only, incredibly good value and run by people who really care abut film. The latest projection facilities mean that the film is crisp and top quality viewing. Fab little local cinema.

Love the good old comfort of cinema seating like it was in the 50s and 60s! The cinema needs the revenue from children's films, but they manage to get most block busters in good time, and even host a good film club. Well done Peter and Michael.

There is no comparison between the Royal Cinema and a multiplex. A warm welcome, comfortable seats, reasonably priced tickets and refreshments. Easy parking close by. Since going to the Royal I no longer go to any other cinema, the atmosphere just isn't the same.

The Royal is the former Odeon of 1936 and is now listed as Grade II to reflect it's virtually unchanged interior and exterior. Unlike some other survivors it's run commercially and the locals appear appreciative of the facility. The latest projection technology allows appreciation of the programme which includes the latest releases.
