Great restaurant

Very clean and nicely furnished, ideally located for a drop in coffee and cake. Friendly staff, great range of cakes, reasonably priced. Well recommended

Myself and 6yr old son went here today for the mini beast day I'm basing my review on this event as I didn't go in any of the shops or off on our own around the farm, The staff were very organised and friendly the mini beast event had 3 sections the group got split into 3 and we all... More

Although I admit that we arrived just after 4.30 it was clearly stated that the collection closed at 5.00, there was hardly a soul to be seen The cafe was shut so no afternoon tea, although we did manage an ice cream I would have liked to have looked at the plant centre, but no joy, barred and bolted We... Fantastic collection of fruit trees: apples, plums, cherries of all varieties. A few traders and coffee bar, sale of fruit and trees etc. A small train (not seen open). We used to have an annual ticket but they don't seem to do the same now. I like walking round the collection myself rather than joining a tour. The events that... More

Recently visited the farm on a lovely hot and sunny day. We had a guided walk around the Orchard which was just under 1 hour. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, you could tell that he had a real passion for the work he does. It was a lovely pleasant day, incredibly peaceful having a nice wander. The only... Must say was slightly disappointed, very over priced for what was actually there. Will say I don't think they where expecting the amount of people that did turn up, as it was SO busy! Long wait for food, restaurant was complete unprepared - bearing in mind we only ordered sandwiches for the children we had to wait all most 45... More

Been before and it was OK, but not outstanding. Went to the Easter event on Good Friday and wish that I hadn't. Poorly managed and obviously poorly planned. The reality was no where near what had been advertised and it was overpriced for the tiny egg that the kids received for following the Easter trail. Worst of all was the... More

We have been to events at Brogdale on numerous occasions but this particular event was not very well organised. The website wouldn't accept pre bookings so we called and booked online (10% discount). When we arrived there was no one parking cars so that was a bit messy with people parking poorly but we got a space and then went... More

March was not an active time to visit, but would love to return for a tour, and of course at Apple blossom time.

What a terrible shame! I visited the plant nursery last summer when there was a slighter larger variety of plants to purchase, when I visited again this week and saw what can only be described as a nursery which had accidentally left the gate open, but wasn't yet ready to open to the public. I purposely visited here instead of... More
