Came here as Christmas at Whitstable was a disaster! There was a lovely but small selection of stalls outside and some pretty ones indoors too. The shop staff are all delightful helpful people the place rarely disappoints, the only past negative was out of date goods at the bakery outlet that appears to have closed! It's a great place to... This is a plantation hosting two trees of every variety of apple, plum and pear known to planet Earth, to ensure continuity of genus. Check out their website to see the events diary, a highlight is the apple festival at the end of September each year, but there are big happenings throughout the year. In addition, visit Brogdale for high... More

Went here for a coffee today with the family. Daughter had a bowl of home made, spicy tomato soup with a cheese sandwich, a lot of filling in the sandwich too. Grandchild had a child's meal, fish finger sandwich, crisps and apple slices, very good value and we three had a coffee. All good and will return to try the... More

Sadly, the guided tours have finished now for winter and we could really have done with more information than the self-guided walk is able to provide. The Orchard Pass is good value at £10 (seniors) for a year and we plan to go back monthly and see how... More

Head down to the Brogdale Collection and take the guided tour of the Orchards. The guide let us taste apples brought over by Henry VIII to ones tasting of pineapple and aniseed and many others, none of which was like the ones we buy in the supermarket. Enough to challenge the tastebuds. As this is the home of the national... More

We visited the annual Apple Festival this October because we are thinking of planting some apple trees and wanted to make a selection. The place is an amazing collection of thousands of Apples, Cherries, Pear and Quince varieties. The visit to the orchards is based on a series of guided tours as you cannot just wander around. (The varieties are... More
