The Saturday market in Deal is buzzing on a sunny Saturday, like today. Probably not worth a visit though on a cold, windy and very wet day like a couple of weeks ago... The specialist foods are increasing in number. Try the fabulous Swedish buns...More

Interesting people, very nice variety of produce, bric-a-brac, clothes, bread, cheese. A lovely small market which adds great value to the gem that is Deal

Nice market, with local foods (bakery, fruits, vegetables) which are worth f you want to get a grasp of the products made or raised in the area (and take some with you). There are also lots of antiques and other stands.

It was our first visit to deal so we checked out the local market. It was really worth going. The market has a selection of independent food stalls including breads, cakes and chutneys. They also have numerous other stalls selling plants, flowers and antiques.

We parked in the Library carpark and walked down to the Market, not many stalls but still interesting produce for sale from local produce to random bits and bobs. Spent about 45 minutes here.

We love visiting local markets when we travel. In Deal a week we had passed by the Town hall for the Wed/Friday small market stall collection and were wondering whether the Saturday market would really be worthwhile. However the owner of our apartment told us...More

This is a lively Saturday market. Mostly antique/vintage stalls (10-15) and a few good stalls to cover most needs. Also an excellent flower stall and a clothing stall with lovely north African rugs, scarves etc. We arrived around midday with everything in full swing. The...More
