Second visit to this pub, this time sat in garden. What a surprise, walled garden on two levels. Clean and tidy with plants in pots along the wall and not a fag end in sight. What a pleasure to sit there.

I thought attitude was a magazine until we visited the rose. Bloody Mary’s were great but no roast unfortunately on a Sunday. And they need to inform you beforehand if when you book a table well in advance they are going to stick you in...More

The Rose was highly recommended by friends and reviewers so I took friends there for Sunday lunch. It was during the Six Nations and there was a match on at 3pm so I booked a table for midday. I think this was a mistake as...More

A recently revamped old pub in the middle of Deal. A stylish retro makeover, freshly cooked interesting breakfasts. At quiet times the bar isn't open so nowhere to sit and read. No TVs. A brave effort and hope it's successful

I dined here on a Sunday with a large family group and a child. The open kitchen, although appealing to watch the chefs at work, made the whole restaurant way too hot. The food was over priced, portions a little on the small sizes. I...More

Having read some press reviews for The Rose I thought it worth a try. The menu online sounded good, but the actual menu was very limited, pretentious to the point of being odd and the food was not particularly good either. That said.....it was not...More

Our stay at The Rose was one of bliss and peace. We felt calm and cosy our entire stay. The artistic mix of old and new furnishings felt like a unique take on a Deal hotel. Complimentary colour palettes, a 1960s era dressing table, pear...More
