In these sombre times the Walmer Castle is shining like a bright star. The decor is sublime, the garden is to die for, probably the best pub garden in Deal, the drinks are at the right price and as for entertainment, the best.

Lovely atmosphere, and well hosted. Highly recommend the live music on Sundays. Good selection of beverages, but also T & coffees etc.

Terrible service on the 29th August girl with green hair told us we was making too much noise upsetting other people even tho there was only 3 people there, spoke to a young man behind the bar who was lovely and confirmed we wasn't making any noise So the 8 of us left leaving less than 8 in the pub. We all enjoyed our time there until the green haired lady intervened. We went to the port Arms and they made us feel so welcome.

What a lovely experience! This pub has suffered from a poor reputation locally for many years, but has gone the extra mile to regain credibility with locals. A group of us, all local, spent yesterday afternoon in the pub garden, after being unable to get a table outside elsewhere. With a beautifully tended garden, a good ale on tap, great music, and the added ability to bring in takeaway food too. We will be back for the music and the ambience, whilst spreading the word to wider friends. The Walmer Castle pub deserves to be recognised!

We found this by chance when the beachfront was packed. Lovely sized beer garden which was good as there was 13 of us.... We also liked the idea of being able to take our own food in too - this works well as there's a chippy /kebab /Chinese within yards Beer was decent. Good few hours was had by all NB if the landlord does read this - he probably already knows - some of the garden furniture needs replacing and some new bits would definitely enhance the look and get a few more bodies thru the door Hence the 4 😊
