Roaring fire, very friendly bar staff, comfy seating, a few beers on draft. Not far off the high street.

I have frequented this public house on many occasions and the laughter, banter, entertainment is fantastic. Everyone is welcome and a good laugh is had by all, highly recommended!!!

Visited following the new management's take over - great beer (with a happy 1/2 hr!) and a cheese board that is stunning and very reasonably priced. The addition of home cooked food also looked like a winner in the making, the new management deserve to succeed, this pub is well worth the walk from town to get to.

Lovely warm welcome by the management and friendly locals as we thawed out in front of a traditional wood burning stove. Very good red wine and convivial conversation made it easy to plan our next visit. We... More
The new licensees, Richard and Opal, have really changed the atmosphere of the Saracen's Head, and it is well worth a visit now. Aside from removing the billiards table and pulling up the carpet to reveal the lovely wood floor, the entire ambiance is just more welcoming. And it's not just because of the crackling fireplace that keeps the bar... More
