Perhaps one of the easier ways to travel around the whole island, rather than relying on the "normal" buses (which don't have that much of a great range) - plus it's only £10 for the day (hop on-hop off). Plus if you're interested in the IoW the audio on the bus is very informative as well. Friendly and helpful drivers.... More

Hi Nick, Thanks for the review. We think you were referring to our 'Coaster' bus when you referred to the buses not running very frequently. The 'Coaster' bus travels from Ryde to Yarmouth via the island's beautiful south coast and running up to four times a day with times arranged around the peak travelling periods. The 'Needles Breezer' runs every... More

I don't usually go for the hop on hop off buses, but if you're here for a day as I was then they are indispensable. £10 gets you an all day ticket which you can also use on regular services, which comes in handy if you just want to go from A to B and you're not that bothered about... More

We wanted to visit the old battery and knew we would have to park at Allum bay and either walk up or catch the bus. ( it used to be a old bus that just went up and down). It turns out things have moved on, you can now get this breezer bus that does a circular tour from Yarmouth... More

We recently visited the Isle of Wight and stayed in Freshwater Bay. We were trying to figure out the best way to get to Colwell Bay and a helpful bus driver (on a regular bus) told us that we could get a 24-hour pass and get on/off any bus that services the island, including the Needles Breezer. So we took... More

This is a good way to see a lot of the area in a short amount of time. The schedule can be a bit funny, so best to plan ahead.

On the spur of the moment we decided to board the bus at The Needles. Good choice, the views around the battery are spectacular. We did the entire loop and it was worth every penny.Wonderful alternative to craning your neck in the car.

When crossing to the Isle of Wight from Lymington you arrive at the pretty but small village of Yarmouth. You can spend an interesting hour or so but it's worth venturing out to see more of the island. The needles breezer covers a short but interesting circular route to the needles and back. You can stop virtually anywhere on the... More
