    Fabulous experience
Hiding away near the steam railway in Havenstreet is the falconry. Can park in the railway car park. The display is well worth seeing but we also booked an hour's experience which was really fabulous.. Our bird handler, Cole, was very knowledgeable and made it fun. Would highly recommend and we're definitely going back.

    Early birthday present
A thoroughly great morning with Keith and luke. My gorgeous wife paid for a half-day experience, with Keith, and it was one of the best presents that I have ever had. The 2 men were very welcoming and fully prepared to answer any questions that we had. The birds were stunning and impeccably trained, plus the free display on the green out infront of the station was both informative and entertaining. A great little trip for all ages and if your budget stretches to the experience I would definitely recommend it.

    Fantastic visit
We had the pleasure to visit yesterday for a one to one experience that was purchased as a Christmas gift. From start to finish we were entertained by our handler Gemma who was so knowledgeable and shared many facts about the birds. We watched both outside shows and couldn't believe these shows were free. There is a lovely coffee shop on site with lots of seating serving hot and cold food. It was right next to the steam railway which was marvellous. Gemma actually told us it was only her fourth private one to one but you would never know she was so new, she was amazing and you can tell just by the way she talks she is passionate about all the birds. We definitely recommend this attraction for all age groups, you won't be disappointed

Wonderful attraction tucked away behind the IOW Steam Railway
We went to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on a damp miserable day last week and when purchasing the tickets noticed the Haven Falconry on the same site. We popped down past the tracks to the barn at the bottom and there was the entrance. If you had purchased a train ticket admission was half price which was a bargain. Due to the bad weather the birds were not flying that day but they were really special. They were kept immaculate in really good conditions. I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in birds.

    Best Birthday
My Birthday Treat today was a hour private experience. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Amazing. So lovely seeing all the birds. Then to get to go out and fly the birds and call them to land on your hand just amazing so lovely to see them. We took Eddy the hawk and Shadow the Barn Owl. Such a wonderful informative morning. The staff were absolutely amazing. We will be back again for another visit. Thank You

Thank you Charlotte and Mike for our One Hour Falconry Experience. We learnt so much in a short space of time with all of your facts and knowledge. You both had a great sense of humour which made it even more memorable and we can’t wait to come back! Also we really appreciated you squeezing us in last minute, and loved watching the public displays before and after our private experience. Your birds are clearly well looked after, seeing each of them fly was just incredible. Thank you for a great day out 😊

    Fantastic time
Fantastic hour with my wife .We had a hawk and owl landing on our arms. Sam, Christine and Micheal very knowledgeable. I would recommend anyone to do this. It's a shame that it could close due to how much it costs to keep it running. It needs more coverage. I will be telling all our friends. Excellent experience. Only question is keep an eye on the weather. Need a dry day.

We did the bird of prey experience today with Josh (we think his name was) and it was a fantastic experience. Josh was super knowledgeable about the 4 birds we were introduced to - Indie the Kestrel, Bindi the Owl, Tichiba the Hawk and Ringo the Hooded Vulture. His enthusiasm was inspiring, especially in regards to dispelling some of the negative stereotypes around vultures and how important they are to our natural ecosystems.

Before the experience started we had the opportunity to have a look at the other birds, reptiles and ferrets at the centre.

We got to get up close and personal with these fantastic birds including flying demonstrations with 2 of the birds plus the Vulture who was a real character.

Would highly recommend the experience and we also stuck around for the owl display for the public which was great as well. All of the staff at the centre were so friendly and passionate about their work - cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing experience. to be so close to the birds and hear so much about them was incredible. Our two grand children 11 and 9 years were absolutely mesmerized by what they saw and heard. The opportunity to come up close to these amazing birds was thrilling and to have them fly to you, land and then take off from your arm was extraordinary. Sam told us so many wonderful stories about the owls and Chloe, a new apprentice was enthusiastic and passionate about the birds. They were both really wonderful hosts. A truly great experience! YOU MUST GO!

An absolute gem of a place! We paid for the Birds of Prey experience and I can only say that Luke and Natalie are experts in this field. We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with the birds who are very well looked after. Although small, this place is very well laid out for visitors and is quiet and intimate. The staff are extremely polite and knowledgeable and the day was well worth the money. We shall return!

I came here and was quite skeptical as I am not keen on caged animals. I expressed this to the staff and the gentleman in the picture was very nice and explain their side which made sense. Overall it is a good experience and great for kids. You can hod the birds for £3 or fly them for £5 which is a great price, also the money gets out back. I would recommend a visit here, peaceful and relaxing place and educational I must say. I think £7.50 per adult is a good and fair price

We went for the bird of prey experience this morning with Cole, the young falconer, who has vast knowledge of the birds and great passion for her job. We were able to have several birds land on our gloved arms,it was a lovely experience, and I would recommend this activity even for non bird lovers,as you may become one after.
We also went to watch the show on the woodland stage,a young lad, think his name is Max,also very informative and enjoyable. He was great too.
Brilliant thing to enjoy-special thanks to Cole for making it special.
This is a lovely little birds of prey centre, the staff are great and very passionate about what they do ,and well worth a visit.

We had booked the Hawk walk without really knowing what to expect and it was just brilliant. Titchiba was just amazing and after a slighty stubborn start happily landed on our gloves for tasty titbits. It really was incredible and were absolutely thrilled. Cole was a natural and was so knowledgeable, funny and interesting, we loved her stories (including the one about the duck!). This place is just so well run, the birds and other animals are well cared for and obviously
well loved. It was a real pleasure to visit and I would highly recommend to anyone living on or visiting to pay this place a visit. It is a real gem.

We booked the day long falconry experience & had a wonderful time - from the beginning, feeding barn owl chicks, to the end, meeting the newly arrived great grey owl in the owl encounter & flying the African vulture Ringo. Josh was most informative & Cole was very helpful - it was inspiring to see a falconer in training. My favourite part was the hawk walk, flying the Harris hawks in the nearby woods - though it’s hard to pick a best bit out of a truly memorable day.

We came across this place when we visited the IOW steam train. Lots of fantastic species of birds...the owls are my favourite!
We booked a flying experience for the Monday while we were there on the Saturday as it was such good value for money!
We weren’t disappointed! We got to fly a kestrel, a beautiful owl and a harris hawk and then had the chance to meet a vulture too! Our handler was such a lovely lady and had great knowledge. Obviously a great lover of her job and the birds and even told us all about her own birds she has at home which was fascinating.
We are looking forward to coming back and seeing all the new animals and exhibits you have planned!

Absolutely fabulous day watching two shows with really enthusiastic and entertaining staff made us book an experience for two days later. Huge thanks to the lady who did the experience. We had an hour of close up with four birds, including flying. She was passionate about the birds and answered all our questions and let us all hold the birds. I bought the experience for my husband but am now a converted bird enthusiast. An amazing afternoon, thank you. Highly recommend.

I have just done a Falconer day at Haven Falconry and am still smiling and excited about this amazing experience. Staff and volunteers were so happy to spend time with me, explaining, informing in a really interesting way, and giving me time with the beautiful birds and other creatures.
It was such an awe inspiring feeling to have a range of birds fly to me, from a very ligh kestrel to a very heavy vulture and various others in between. I had front row seats for the displays and watched birds being privately flown. Amazing is an overused word, but amazing the day was!
As a bonus I spent time with skunks and reptiles - I adore looking at reptiles but did not expect to be holding snakes!
The centre is always worth a visit, but booking a whole day with these wonderful creatures is very special.
