The Anchor is always a favourite after time out in West Cowes Centrally located it offers food, fun, music and great service. Never been disappointed with the food - always fresh and tasty and the wines and lagers we need are all on hand. Fantastic events with live bands and great music/rock barn at the back with lots of al fresco events in the garden. Real winner in my eyes!

A busy pub with good entertainment but prices of drink are very expensive. Especially the wine. Needs a large chain of pub in town to bring prices down for competition.

I have been to this great very central pub several times its only minutes away from Red Jet Terminal, Yacht Haven etc. it's definitely one of if not the most popular pub in Cowes the customer service is always good as is the atmosphere. The drinks are a bit pricey which is quite common in Cowes unfortunately but for the live music and atmosphere it's definitely good value for money overall and it has a great beer garden out the back too. Can get busy at weekends and when there are sailing events on.

I was looking for somewhere in Cowes for a Sat night dinner for 30 people and gave The Anchor a call. I'd been in for a pint several times and knew they kept a good selection of beer but hadn't eaten there. Laura the manager suggested that, given the numbers and the fact that the booking was a few weeks away, that we pre order if we could. Anyway, that all worked out ok and we arrived on the Sat booked. The pub was really busy with a lively atmosphere. Our tables were ready and staff arrived to take drink orders; the food arrived as ordered and despite the place getting ever busier, service was spot on and very friendly despite everyone forgetting what they'd ordered! This is still definitely a pub that serves food as opposed to a restaurant with a tiny bar; great atmosphere, noisy and full of people having the craic. If you want fine dining or a gastropub go elsewhere. If you want a laugh and good pub grub with great beer, give The Anchor a go.
