I feel it's more than a little over-rated and as someone else said, it's looks ok from a distance but that's about it.

Nice place to walk and for pictures even if the mill is closed. You can find interesting facts on the board in the parking. The parking is too small.

This beautifully restored mill is a window into history and also a perfect location for some stunning walks. Part of Ashridge Estate, Pitstone Windmill is a Chilterns gem from the 17th century. Although the exact date of when Pitstone Windmill was built is unknown, it...More

The mill was badly damaged in 1902 when a storm blew the sails off. It is a pity one cannot do a circular walk without having to walk on a fairly dangerous road.

Pretty windmill which is easy to access from a tiny car park. I had driven past it many times and not spotted it until I went camping at Town Farm Campground in Ivinghoe.

This windmill has been beautifully restored. It's a shame it's no longer a working mill but still very interesting.

Have never been inside this windmill, but its location and scenery around it is amazing. If you love photography, this is a great subject to photograph at any time of the year. The surrounding Chiltern Hills also providing plenty of places to walk and photograph
