Just had a tuna sandwich for lunch. Possibly the best i have ever eaten. The bread was freshly cut and fluffy. Home made chips and a salad garnish. Value is awesome. Food awesome. Highly recommended. A must try. Great atmosphere. Beautifully decorated and clean. Friendly staff and an all round 5*****

Lovely old English inn, with huge recently renovated rooms. Cosy bar and we had a very good traditional English dinner. Personnel was welcomely. Good ole England as uts best, though from there came also the minus due to nonexistent WiFi. Of course you could view it also as a plus if out with family.

Had lunch here with my friend yesterday. Had been in for a drink a couple of times in the past but wasn't terribly impressed with the place but was very pleasantly surprised this time around. Had read some positive feedback from someone on everything Tring so thought I'd check it out for myself and so glad I did.The food was... More

We go out to eat every Friday night. our requirements are simple, good simple food at a reasonable price but this nearly always takes us out of Tring to the surrounding villages and beyond. However having spent many years walking past the Bell but never entered through the front door because of its historic reputation, when seeing that there had... More

I only think it is right for me to review this place again as my last review was concerning the previous management and landlord when it was constantly changing hands. Since then, when I was living in Tring under the management of Marcy and Paddie for some time, this pub became my local. Always a friendly welcome good food with... More

We visited this pub at lunchtime on a glorious Bank Holiday Monday. We went round the side, chose a seat in the courtyard and then my partner went to the bar to order drinks. We thought it was very quiet, there were 3 chaps sitting in the bar who simply said they were not open and would not be serving.... More
