Less than 5 minutes walk from my work are the beautifully kept Memorial Gardens. A lake and a giant Sequoia are a dominant feature but the plants and flowers add to this oasis of peace in our small town. Welcome additions are the information boards...More

The quote on the information board as you enter the Memorial Garden of the order of the day for June 6, 1944 by the Supreme Allied Commander, Dwight D Eisenhower is very poignant and is why we should never forget the sacrifice of those that...More

Tring is hardly a bustling town but it is still nice to wander slightly off the high street and spend some time in this very pleasant and tranquil setting. It is a quintessential English park with resident ducks happy to share their home with strangers....More

A Small place to sit by the large pond and contemplate, read a book, watch the ducks or the occasional family visitor.

Nice place for a little walk but you have to watch small kids while being near the pond. The big, old tree is magnificent.

I visit these lovely gardens often, being a short walk from home and very doable with my limited mobility. Plenty of benches, a nice duck pond with fountain and a magnificent feature giant redwood. These gardens might be better described as an arboretum with the...More

It is nice to go round the gardens, they aren't large and it only takes 10 minutes or so to walk round but they have a lovely peaceful feel. When the sun is out it is a very pleasant place to sit (there are benches...More

Once you are inside it is a bit soul less and disappointing.Little in the way of information so it is difficult to think what the purpose is!

A little oasis of calm just off the high street. Always relaxing to walk around the small lake and enjoy the massive trees. Spend 10 mins here and feel a little more relaxed :-)

Delightful, small memorial garden. Well-maintained and with clear explanation of what its purpose is. Unspoilt. Nice clear information board about the battle of Passchendaele erected for the 100th anniversary. Nice walk around the small lake and some wonderful colours even this late in the year.
