Have been several times with kids and grandparents; have toured the house which was really interesting and fun. Gardens are great with a maze, tower, lake and big tree swing and zip wire. The special event days are great, we've done archery and seen animal shows and birds of prey. The cafe/restaurant is very good and there is a wonderful... More

Be prepared for a lot of walking and best to visit during summer time. Do try the maze and get lost in it, it's fun! The story of King Henry VIII has always fascinated me and it was so cool to see their way of living then!

What a fabulous space, we had such a wonderful, relaxing day enjoying the grounds, activities, maze, tower and very interesting guided tour. We took a picnic, but enjoyed an ice cream and the shop. Really excellent family location.

A perfect family outing. Halloweentastic! Loads for the kids (aged 2,4 and 6) and really enjoyable for us older folks. The gardens are stunning and we could have played for hours in the maze. The waterfall was an unexpected surprise. What a magical place! We expected fairies and goblins to be hiding in the undergrowth. The cellars were suitably terrifying... More

We have visited this attraction several times in the past and always enjoyed. Gardens are impressive, kids love the space to run and explore, and the waterfall that you can walk behind is a favourite. This time the cellars had been decked out for Halloween. Entry was included in garden ticket. We found this to be pitched just right, our... More

This is a lovely stately home nestled in the Herefordshire countryside. It would be lovely to see more of the castle as only a small amount is open to the public which is a shame. The maze is great fun for children & the gardens are great for adults and are simply stunning.

One not to be missed and make sure you take a Castle tour. It is full of history and so much to see and do. The gardens are very special and need exploring. The Orangery is a great stop off for refreshments. One not to be missed.

Castle and Gardens in rural Herefordshire a good guided tour of part of the Castle by a knowledgeable Guide called Mike, only took 3/4 an hour , would like to have seen more but many rooms not available to view to Visitors.Lovely Gardens ,obviously past their best now, but still stunning.Lots of history to this place certainly worth a visit.

Fabulous gardens including a very large walled garden area with water features and 2 large gazebos, as well as beautiful kitchen garden which produces fruit and vegetables for the restaurant. There is also a maze with a central tower that affords lovely views over the gardens. The house itself is a quite substantial and as a building is very interesting.... More
