Saw a pantomime show with family and young children , of Beauty and Beast. The presentation was satisfactory and nicely done. Strange place, the staff are polite enough but it's not great venue for gigs as the sound wasn't the best unless you like that high pitched screech of the feedback And unless you are down the front band has limited views The loo reminds me of a church hall and is a bit of a squeeze so not ideal Tickets were bought online and kept at the box office but the card system was a bit like tickets for a school panto, it would of been nice to of got a confirmation email back rather than crossing my fingers that they were waiting at the ticket office…

Seems there will be a new public halls soon in Rothamstead Park. Hope the new build injects some oomph into the organisation running the facility. They get some really good acts and charge reasonable prices but a recent event was marred by very poor spund management

Visited recently to see a production of South Pacific. We travelled 25 miles to see this production and were hugely disappointed, not with the production but the venue. The seating was so uncomfortable, fold up chairs with horrible plastic backs. This venue is definately not the place to host a theatre production. We left during the interval due as we couldn't sit on the horrible chsirs a minute longer. Would never go to this place again. Staff were not friendly either.…
