Despite undergoing a refurb so no jacuzzi or vitality pool we still had a relaxing visit. Staff are always polite, accommodating and professional. All the therapists are thoroughly professional and helpful. Changing rooms could be a bit more cleaner, but that is mainly because guests cannot be bothered to put their towels/robes in the bins provided. We will definitely be visiting again,

Great spa. Massages were fantastic. Staff very professional. Products lovely. Pool nice, but the water could be a bit warmer for my liking. More newspapers/magazines would be great (only Daily Mail). Changing rooms great too. Finance said gym good too. Walk from the room a bit long, but you can take a free shuttle that brings you there in no time.

As the hotel The Grove is a very exclusive hotel I expected the spa to be the same. It left me feeling underwhelmed. Spotless staff helpful courteous. They do supply flip flops robe towel . Its the fact they only have a normal pool smallish jacuzzi only 1 steam room . I did expect a hammam sauna or something different I could be at any village hotel .shame they do have a cafe and the coffee is great !

We went as a family for my mothers special birthday for two night to the grove hotel!! We were shocked to experience such third grade Appauling service which ruined our entire holiday and fun weekend!! The spa staff behind the counter were stupid and did not know the meaning of hospitality even if it slapped them on the face. I am a 6 month pregnant women wanting to take a look at the spa and pool to make sure it would be safe to sue they did not let me and started talking to me and my father extremely rudely and then walked off. The spa manager Debbie [--] was even more dumb and extremely nasty she started by answerinf back to my father and told us to leave the premises when all we wanted to do was see the property before deciding if we wanted to use it. We have been to so many 5 star leading hotels in the world but never have we experienced such racist behaviour. When my father told the spa manager that we have corn to the grove ten times before and the service has declined she replied" oh if you have come here before you would have already seen the pool an spa why are you so desperate to see it now" this is how bad the grove hotel staffs service is. We had two massages booked from before we cancelled everything and decided to leave the spa manager had no concern and was keen to let us go rather then show some respect and be nice to her clients. I will never recommend the grove to anyone and please if you want relaxation do not use their spa instead you will have more stress and discomfort.

I have used The Grove on numerous occasions ( we live locally ), the hotel, restaurant and spa. Previously I would have no hesitation in referring to the venue as 5 star, but in the last couple of years you start to notice a few things being trimmed. I recently ( July 2015 ) received a spa treatment as a birthday gift, always a nice treat. The spa treatment itself was good but instead of being allowed to use the changing room to hang my clothes and get into a robe I was shown straight to the treatment room and asked to get undressed, my clothes having to be placed on the chair in the room. At the end of the treatment, covered in massage oils, I was allowed to get dressed and escorted back to reception. So no use of the shower facilities. It all felt a little cheap. I am now looking for spa treatments to give as a birthday present and unfortunately The Sequoia at The Grove is not something I would consider. There are much better spas in London and the Home Counties.

I used to (as a treat) go to The Groves Spa. They had a wonderful relaxation area with steam rooms etc which was about the only place one could totally switch off and relax. Unfortunately in the interests of making more money, they have removed it and replaced it with more treatment rooms. So now the once lovely spa has only a swimming pool with a jacuzzi attached and a single steam room. They have this much at my local gym. Over and above this I tried to relax by the pool but other than the surroundings being freezing, the jacuzzi creating a loud racket and too many people in the steam room it was lovey (joking)! The massage was good but you can get that at most places....
Avoid like the plague and save your money. What a shame and shame on them!

In need of destressing, I thought a massage gift for The Grove Sequoia Spa would be a wow factor for my husband ! At £145 for 80 minutes it certainly should have been! Can I say it is not something I can afford regularly!
On booking it clearly said the attendee was not entitled to use the changing rooms or Spa facilities! Maybe this should have rung alarm bells!
But no I still thought this would have some wow factor! My husband has fedback the massage itself was pleasant and the lady doing the massage. But no area to sit in after and enjoy the ambience. Almost clinical undress, massage, dress, leave! No chilling area/refreshments prior to the treatment! There was a waiting area near reception that had juices, which my husband assumed were available to purchase, but at no stage was he given any information.
We have stayed in many hotels, which offer a much more inclusive experience when having a massage for half the price.
Call me old fashioned, but surely a £145 massage at The Grove should offer more than straight to the massage, then goodbye! I kind of feel like I have been short changed. Oh well you learn!

Treated my Fiancé before are wedding to a spa day at Sequoia, which left us very disappointed! Ladies have heat treatment rooms and lovely relaxation rooms all of which is in a female only area!
If you wish to spend the day together as a couple I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere! There are no joint treatment rooms and where as your partner can go into the ladies area for hours and fall asleep in the relaxation area or a heat treatment there is not the equivalent for the males! I challenged this with the spa and they replied with "use of the Garden Room and introduced another room – the Pantazi room – where guests can relax together and enjoy complimentary tisanes/coffee and ‘nibbles’." Wow relaxation and heat treatment or a coffee! And you are charged the same! I believe this is sexiest! As a couple try elsewhere!

This spa is beautiful. Gorgeous pool, lovely treatment rooms and you are really looked after but be warned it's pricey. I had a full body massage which was lovely and a pedicure. During the pedicure they didn't have the nail polish that I wanted so I had to settle for another colour. The massage and pedicure came to c£160.Â

I recently had a spa break here (staying at The Grove) and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment I arrived when I was greeted warmly by the receptionist who gave me a tour of the whole spa.
All the facilities are great, I particularly liked the indoor black tiled pool and the garden area outside.
My two treatments were out of this world, the therapists were so good and so professional, I can't speak highly enough of them. I am sorry I can't remember the name of the lady who did my massage but Katie who did my facial was amazing, I literally floated out of the room - it was so relaxing!
There were plenty of staff about, all approachable and really helpful and I liked that there was drinking water everywhere that you could help yourself too and I really liked the tea and snacks in the Garden Room.
The spa was spotless and I am already planning on returning!

Hi, I have a gift voucher for a spa day and treatment. I would quite like to ask a couple of friends to come with me so what would be the cheapest way for them to join me in the spa for the day? Would they have to buy a treatment or could they just come and pay to use the spa facilities for the day?
Thanks

You really have to check this with Operations manager at Spa! Treatments are not usually included in vouchers but one can use spa facilities.
