Excellent Tourist Information Centre, friendly and more than helpful staff, situated in large car park in the centre of town. Nearby are gender neutral toilets, in fact so modern it becomes a challenge how to even flush the toilet. Tried to wash my hands but no soap, let alone water, tried 4 other cubicles and still no soap or water.... More

A great place to escape for a day or longer. Whether you drive, cycle, horse riders, walk or run there are plenty of places for you to visit and see. Scenery varies from woodland and an arboretum to heaths and moorlands. Also a couple of places for a spot of fishing. Some parking areas allow barbecues and have great spaces... More

After not seeing the new forest for over 20 years I am so happy to be back enjoying its wonders. The forest itself is a wonderful place to explore, scattered with amazing towns and villages plus numerous local pubs serving great food and drink. What more can you ask for? We have walked, biked and driven miles of the forest... More

There are many aspects that make the New Forest unique. There are enough aspects to this post lace that there is bound to be something that appeals to everyone. So I feel you just need to find that. Today we took our camera and walked in the lovely fresh air, photographing all the animals and plants. This included Highland cows... More

We visited the New Forest on a beautiful September's day and were rewarded by seeing everything at it's best. You don't have to venture far from the tourist centres to appreciate all that the forest has to offer.

The New Forest boasts stunning scenery and is a beautiful walk. The park itself is wonderful, however the people, we found, were extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. Unfortunately after parking our car to go for a walk, we got very lost and ended up walking for 10 hours through the night before someone would help us. A funny story in the... More
