Lovely warm welcome by two ladies clearly in love with promoting the New Forest. Excellent information and, unusually for such places, more quality available than tat. Went in for a map, left with postcards and a bracelet.

I am lucky to live in the NF. The overall beauty is breathtaking but please mind animals on the road especially deer after dark. Respect the litter rules and walk and enjoy

Such a variety of types of woodland, streams, heath creating multiple habitats for birds and deer and other animals there's lots to enjoy and admire beautiful views, sights of ponies. Excellent walking and paths are maintained well!

Inside the visitor centre in Lyndhurst there is also a New Forest Museum, which given how often we've been to Lyndhurst, we've surprisingly never actually been around. It's free and well worth taking the time to look around. The even better bit is when you pop by after a walk with the dog, they're welcome around the museum too -... More

It was our second overnight spa break to Lime Wood in Lyndhurst this year and I feel compelled to spread the word about this fabulous hotel. I seriously couldn't recommend it more. The experience starts even before arrival at the hotel, with the short drive into the grounds of the New Forest. The picturesque surroundings are so inviting and it... More

We love the New Forest as it's right on our doorstep . We can understand why people from further a field come to visit time after time. There are so many picturesque villages , beautiful walks, cycle tracks, rivers and beaches nearby. Majority of the forest car parks are free to use. Many have Ice cream vans parked up in... More

Wide open spaces and really quiet at this time of year, a walk around the new forest is always amazing with plenty of wildlife and lots of ponies roaming free.
