Lovely traditional pub. Roaring fires, great homemade food, locally sourced, good walking. Very friendly staff. Can get busy but if the weather is ok there is a large garden with plenty of seating. This is a little gem right in the New Forest.

Visited on a very busy Sunday lunch time hoping for lunch. There were no tables when we arrived but we did manage to get one after a while. Before that we were happy to sit at the bar and people watch whilst toasting our toes...More

We had an excellent point and gammon and cheese Plowman's after a long walk in the forest. Good atmosphere, lovely little pub, prompt and friendly service and lovely fresh, home cooked and locally produced food. Highly recommended!!

Not a lot of choice for pints of ale,not a happy place to visit,does get busy.Find a seat in the garden,watch out,wasps about.Also birds on tables and seats,reason for this,food plates and drinks glasses left on tables,busy staff who knows.Food good though.A much better establishment...More

I just wanted to say thank you so much to the staff, turns out I forgot to book on a Saturday night but they still managed to make space for us. Then came the food which was just out of this world. Highly highly recommended!!!

Visited again on our way down to Lymington. Great little pub. Brilliant Real Ales. Lovely food always excellently presented. And very friendly staff. Always a must to visit when in the area.Dogs also welcome. Also excellent walks, bird and wildlife watching in the area.
