Always visit this cinema for the big movies, free parking, plenty of places to eat and drink outside. Cinema seats very comfortable loads of room. Clean venue well presented. Always check out offers on tickets as cheaper buying through corporate deals.

This is a good well laid out cinema with comfortable seats. The ticket collection is easy to use and the foyer has plenty of room. The seating is well laid out and actually has legroom even for me at 6ft 3". The screen is clearly visible even if I was sat in front of you.
Now the bad points.
If you book online you have to pay a booking fee, it's only 70p but why? By booking online you actually save them money. I have as yet to buy anything at the foyer because the prices are ludicrously high. I mean seriously they charge a lot for soft stale popcorn that they buy in big bags ready popped. Gone are the days when you could buy freshly popped warm popcorn which was popped on site and cheap, and who in there right mind would pay over £3 for a drought drink. I know all cinema's are unfortunately the same these days but that doesn't make it right to grossly over charge.

Staff friendly and helpful and when questioned about the full performance time and parking limits at Whiteley helpfully directed me to one of the few uncovered pay points. I purchased an extra two hours so as not to over stay yet still received a fine, appeal was rejected despite proof of purchase and now have been directed to a final appeal process now three months later. Despite helpful staff it is not worth the hassle of Whiteley village, go to Fareham instead.

Me and my mum planned on seeing the new fifty shades freed film. We brought our tickets then went to the snack bar and I brought my mum a bottle of cider and myself some popcorn. I did not get asked for any ID. We then went to go into the cinema only for the guy who checks your tickets to ask me for ID. To cut a long story short I didn't have my ID as I've sent it off to get the details changed. So they refused me entry even though 10 minutes before that they served me alcohol! I'm nearly 29 years old and I was with my 62 year old mother. When we asked to see the manager who was even younger than me she just said it's company policy! So you can go to the cinema and drink as much as you want but you won't get into the cinema! Where's the consistency? I accept I look young for my age but I don't look younger than 18 & a little common sense should have been used instead they just all wanted a little power trip. Save to say I won't be returning there again.

I always come to Cineworld as it is just down the road from me but me and my mates, all of us in Year 11 so gone 15, went to see the new IT film. This was a 15 - only 2 of us showed our ID (the closest we had to ID was our Snapchat personal details) and we paid our ticket, got food and went in. Just as the adverts were about to start, the manager came to our group. They said our ID was not valid enough and said we had to leave the cinema. Not letting us in is fair enough, but it is unbelievably rude to interrupt us WHEN WE WERE IN THE SCREENING! I am appalled and outraged by this service. Luckily, we were given refunds but the fact we had already got our food was an outrage and it is ridiculous that this happened. Maybe Cineworld will think about their customer service and standards as a result of this. Shameful.

Most films now are shot in Scope, the process whereby the screen image expands out on each side to give a ‘letterbox’ image. In cinemas with large wall-to-wall screens this can be quite impressive. Most cinemas are equipped to show Scope films like this; indeed Cineworld Whiteley does just that in its two largest auditoria (Nos 1 and 9).
However the remaining 7 auditoria (3 through 8) just have rectangular TV-shaped screens, which necessitates Scope films being showed with black bars top and bottom in order to achieve the ‘letterbox’ image. At home this process may be acceptable as it is the only way Scope films can be shown correctly on TV, but this is not the way these films should be shown in the cinema. Scope films should be shown big and wide.
Why Cineworld should design a new cinema like this remains a mystery; I have asked but have had no sensible explanation. Many other Cineworlds are fine; it is a problem, as far as I can tell, just with Whiteley. The cinema may score highly in comfort but on its basic function of film presentation I find it, in most of its screens, gravely lacking and a big disappointment.

We went to see the new Kingsman film and our twin teenagers decided they would rather see IT. So we went to change 2 tickets only to be told that they needed ID! I explained that it was not up to the cinema staff to parent our children, that was our job and that I wouldn't be letting them see a film if the were underage. No budging - very rude staff saying that they hadn't ruined our evening - well I can assure you they did! Disgusted at the service, they gave us a refund but I will never ever go to Whiteley Cineworld or any Cineworld cinema again. We're going to the showcase cinema de lux at West Quay tomorrow- better seats, reclining, cheaper, better bar and better service! Don't go to whiteley cinema the staff are rude and ill equipped to deal with intelligent customers who can make their own decisions.

Cineworld Whiteley is my favourite part of Whiteley although there is only £1 difference between adult and child tickets. The seats are very comfy and normally enough leg room, food is very good and they occasionally have food offers. I will definitely return!

Don't go to a cinema very often and I now remember why. Went to see London has Fallen, with an advertised start time of 9:10pm. We arrived at 9 and went to our seats. They were comfortable, but it was quite a small theatre and screen.
At 9:10, the commercials and trailers started and went on until 9:40. What a waste of time! The film was 99 minutes long, so finished around 11:10pm.
Picture and audio quality are good, but I am not prepared to sit through so much irrelevant material before the start.

Sorry don't know the answer to that one. You will be able to find the telephone number for the cinema on line. Good luck.
