Dear bettyboop20, Thank you for the positive review. We are so glad you had a good time. To address your negative points: As an old cinema, there is limited space to extend the toilet facilities, unfortunately. In addition to the ladies loos on the ground floor and the the one in the auditorium stairway, there is an additional disabled loo... More

I only discovered the Plaza and its amazing productions a couple of years ago after living in the forest all my life. Now I seem to be there all the time.!! Fantastic productions at affordable prices. It is an amazing little theatre and personally I have tried a variety of seating and you can see EVERYTHING from everywhere in the... More

Took my daughter to the matinée on Saturday and it was a great show, well done guys! It was our first time to the theatre here as we haven't long moved to the area. The cost if the tickets, programmes and also the drinks, ice creams etc all spot on, not over priced like some theatres. We will be back!... More

my sister and I who only see each once a year visited the Plaza last Friday 15 May and enjoyed a short play with just 2 actors in it. We were advised when we arrived that there was no interval but the Bar would be open at the end of the Show (9pm). As we were on a very very... More

We are sorry that you were disappointed at not finding the bar open after the end of The Last Five Years show. Because the show has a short running time, and for other logistical reasons, we had decided not to open the bar for this show. Unfortunately, it appears that not all our front-of-house volunteers were aware of this decision,... More

On its website, the Plaza theatre has an endorsement from Sir Ian McKellen: "..my advice is don't miss out on an opportunity to discover Romsey's lovely theatre" I would endorse this wholeheartedly. The Plaza is owned and operated by a thriving, enthusiastic and very talented amateur dramatic society - RAODS - who put on around 12 shows a year. They... More

The plays put on at the Plaza are well produced and directed with an accomplished group of actors. They are very reasonably priced and generally good value. From time to time there are also concerts, usually by the excellent Michelmersh Silver Band. The bar is licenced and open before the show and during the interval.

If only professional theatres were as well run as this audiences sizes would double. We have just seen an amazing production of Les Miserables. Three weeks ago we had seen a youth production at a professional theatre in Hampshire but, interestingly, found this show to have a far higher standard in all respects. The complex and demanding opera took great... More
