Me and husband and little girl visited here last weekend, we loved it all, there is a kiosk and cafe doing take aways, gift shop shut but the garden centre is open still. It was very quiet but it was a cloudy, drizzly day, it didn’t ruin any of the fun though! The trees still have some of their autumn leaves and given lockdown restrictions it was a lovely surprise to find some pigs as most places which have animals are now shut due to covid. We are looking forward to returning in the warmer months. A lovely place for all!

Great place to wander round - not particularly cheap for a visit but there are some lovely paths through flowers, trees and meadows.

Thank you. It’s lovely to hear that you had a good time at the gardens and we’re glad that you enjoyed your visit. The admission fee gives entry to 180+ acres with areas of interest and colour throughout the year so we do hope you’ll return to explore further.

The last time we came was the day before Lock Down 1; here we are again before Lock Down 2. Membership renewed and a stunningly sunny, cold day in which to see all the trees and shrubs moving into their winter state. Fabulous. C19 safety measures are fine once in the gardens though a little chaotic around the entry both to the gardens and the restaurant (the process and signage hasn't been properly worked out and tested) but all felt very safe the rest of the time. The restaurant food, whilst a much shorter menu, seems much better than previously and well managed by the staff. Visits during the next month will be less well served food wise but will suffice. The gounds will still be wonderful and, hopefully, with attendees further reduced in numbers, there will be stricter controls on entry.

Thank you so much for supporting the gardens as a member - we’re delighted that you enjoyed the autumn/ winter changeover. Thank you also for your feedback which is always welcomed, we do apologise that you felt our signage was not effective on your last visit to the gardens. We take the welfare and safety of our visitors very seriously and are continually reviewing our Covid practises. We have made a numbers of changes this week and hope that when you next visit you feel more secure and that we have listened to your concerns. We look forward to welcoming you again to Sir Harold Hillier gardens

We enjoyed a lovely walk around the site, but thought the signage could be improved we never found the path to the rhoddendrans area across the road. The autumn colours were spectacular. There were lots of children doing the pumpkin trail. I was however a bit concerned with the way the marquee cafe was operating. There was no cleaning of the tables between useage and no signage to tell you where to leave your trays. There were only two staff and they were busy serving people. Also the credit card machine was not working so we had to pay with cash.

First visited Hillier in 2012 and loved it. Returned this year as our daughter and son-in-law now live close by. A beautiful place for a walk - different levels, planting, views and the all important café, which although now closed, is replaced by the kiosk just outside. A fab garden centre next door which is always worth a visit before or after. Lovely family place - would thoroughly recommend and wish we lived closer!
