Hubby, 2 daughters age 2.5 and 7 months and I had a fantastic time. We did two days with a stay in a near by holiday inn. The first day was raining but it didn’t spoil our fun, it also meant the park was really quiet and therefore no queues! (Not sure we would have enjoyed it so much if we were having to queue 20+ mins for each ride). When the rain got quite heavy, the soft play was perfect to visit. We managed to fit all the activities into the second day which we had run out of time for on the first day.

We spent far too much money on photos, food and drinks but this was our own doing and could have been avoided if we really wanted to. Although, we did think the 5 photos for £40 was a good deal. Food delicious also. We ate at the 89 route diner place and had a burger and hot dog on the first day then second day had pizzas from the cafe next to the soft play followed by yummy sweet treats at the queens cafe.

A very small negative is that we found a couple of staff members a little abrupt, first was on the carousel as she thought my husband was going to keep standing (which he wasn’t, I think she probably just didn’t understand his accent) and the second was in the beastie burrow as my toddler had been tapping on the windows. Instead of asking politely to stop and quickly educating my 2.5 year old that the animals don’t like it, we were all told off! However, mostly all really friendly, helpful and welcoming.

We noticed they are very strict about measuring the height of the children for entrance to check they are under 1m otherwise they make you pay. Luckily for us our kids are both definitely not 1m but my toddler did get a bit upset when having to get down off her daddy’s shoulders as she is a very shy but also stubborn child. So anyone thinking of trying to swing the system, I recommend you don’t.

The park itself was very clean and well kept. Lots of colourful flowers and manicured gardens. The toilets and changing facilities were up to a good standard and I am normally someone who tries to avoid public loos like the plague!

Overall, we had such a lovely and magical time and would highly recommend anyone with kids to go! Loads of rides and attractions for all ages. Like most parks, try to go out of season/ mid week.

Thank you all at Paultons! We hope to visit again next year, fingers crossed our toddler is still under 1m!

Dear FelicityLoor, Thank you for your 5 star review following your recent visit to Paultons Park. It's great that you and your family enjoyed your visit and had a fantastic time, despite the weather on your first day. We do find that the Park is less busy when the weather is not at it's best, resulting in shorter ride queue times, which we are glad you benefitted from on the day you visited. We are delighted to hear that you found our Photo Passes to be good value for money. A Photo Pass entitles you to 5 photography items (including licences) for £40 from any of our photo kiosks including high-quality printed photos, keyrings and magnets. Also included in your Photo Pass are five digital downloads! We are thrilled to hear that you found the food to be delicious! We are very proud of the quality and variety of food served here at Paultons and have many different kiosks, as well as our route 83 Diner and Wild Forest Restaurant. Thank you for your kind comments regarding how clean and well kept the Park is, as well as how colourful the gardens are. Both our Cleaning and Gardens Teams work very hard to ensure the Park is always looking its best and ready to welcome our guests. We will be sure to pass on your feedback to them and their Management Teams. Thank you for your recommendation and for taking the time to review us. We very much look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Paultons Park next year. Kind regards, Paultons Park

Getting to Paultons park from Ireland is tricky! Here are a few pointers/tips:

Flights
The nearest big city to Paultons is Southampton but there are no direct flight options from Dublin.
We fly Dublin - Bournemouth with Ryanair. This is a small airport and very manageable and flight options are cheap.

Transfers Bournemouth to Southampton
This journey takes about 40 minutes. There is a Hertz rental at the airport but with really irregular opening hours so much that we could never get them on the phone!

I ended up arranging a people carrier transfer to the hotel in Southampton. This cost £90 each way with Onward Travel Solutions (OTS). Drivers were good and arrived on time. Only issue was cost.

Travel to Paultons Park
Amazingly there is no bus service to Paultons park, hard to believe given the volumes that go there. In the end we had to arrange taxis each way which was £25 each way. As you an see, renting a car is the way to go…

The park
We really enjoyed this and the kids had a great time. The only thing j would recommend is bringing your own/some of your own food as it’s the usual terrible fast food and v expensive.

Overall, thumbs up and live and learn!

Visited Jubilee Weekend after Covid cancellations from 2020, family of 4 two kids aged 7 and 4. Absolutely the best weekend we've ever had. First day was the Friday and the park was rammed, according to staff they were sold out! Queue times on the app were more accurate than the signs by the rides, the longest we queued was 40 minutes for the balloon ride in Peppa World. Found there was a lot of queue jumpers (parents waiting in the queue and kids joining later).
The park was beautiful, really clean and well kept. Kids even commented on the smart toilet seats (these were genius and we believe every public toilets should have these kids seats on them). Food was really expensive so we didn't eat meals on the park (Route 83 diner £10.95 for a burger).
Staff were amazing, they happily waited for people to take photos before starting rides off, they also happily used your phone to take pictures of the family at the meet and greets.
On our second day the weather was a little less hot so the park was a lot quieter, it meant we ended up being able to ride every ride throughout the two days and wonder round the splash areas and playgrounds.

Overall amazing experience would go back in a heartbeat. thoroughly recommend to anyone any age.

Paultons park has always been a magical place for us. Since I was a child, now I bring my child. Often as a very large family, for occasions we buy each other season tickets as gifts as we all only live 10 mins away. It is a a fantastic day out. Some days we just go to use soft play, the parks, see the animals or use the splash parks, paultons isn’t just about the rides for us.

We have personally been season ticket holders for 3 years. Sadly Paultons steep price increase has meant we have been absolutely out priced meaning this is no longer affordable and not an option to renew. We are absolutely gutted! We have a very sad 4 yr old!

We appreciated due to new area being built and COVID that paultons may have been at a loss and this could have impacted prices, we brought new tickets at the last price increase accepting paultons need to get some of that loss back. We also were fine about the booking fee during the pandemic, we have always been loyal and understanding customers but to go from the original £125 to £250 is a little shocking.

I understand there is a new ticket option - premium for £250 or off peak for £150. Sadly the off peak doesn’t allow much of an option for a child who goes to school given it doesn’t allow access on weekends or special events, so we won’t really be able to go
choosing this option.

My view is had the off peak allowed entry any day after 2pm (similar to that of the pandemic) this would have been a definite purchase. I really
Feel this needs to be reviewed by higher management, as many locals will now miss out, and after 2pm it’s so much quieter. We often eat at the restaurant and buy things from the gift shop so there is still money to be made this way!

Dear V9947KkKK Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for Paultons, Home of Peppa Pig World. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to welcome you and your family to the Park for a number of years as valued annual pass holders and it is wonderful to hear that you always have such a fantastic time here with us. Here at Paultons we are delighted to provide our Premium Pass holders with unlimited entry to the Park for a full calendar year during our advertised opening hours. We certainly believe that our Premium Passes offer excellent value for money as Paultons has a longer opening season than any other theme park in the country and a guest only has to visit six times to break even on the gate price. As well as entry to the Park, a Premium Pass holder also receives 20% off in our catering outlets and 10% off in our retail outlets, along with the opportunity to purchase digital ride photographs for just £2 without having to purchase a printed item. Please be assured that your suggestions and valuable feedback, which has been passed on to the Park’s Senior Management team, has been taken seriously and if we can improve in any of our operating procedures at Paultons we will certainly do so. We are saddened to note that you had chosen not to renew your Annual Pass this year but we certainly do hope to be able to welcome you back to the Park again one day in the future. Kind regards Paultons Park

We had a great family day out at Paulton’s Park this Easter and came away very happy and wanting to go back soon. The grounds are well maintained, clean toilets, there are a good range of rides, friendly staff, good food options at reasonable prices, loads of space and quiet places for a break but the best part for us was the lack of queuing. We never spent more than 15 mins in a queue.

Having had bad experiences of queuing at other well known theme parks that are hectic and looking a little run down, it was so nice to spend the day at a park where they clearly take pride in the surroundings and the service they give to the public. A family ticket for 4 was £155 in advance and we came away feeling like we had had a good value day out. My daughter went in 24 rides.

My autistic son unfortunately got put off on the first ride and then refused to go on any other rides until the last hour and a half of the day! However, because there is so much space and lots of quiet garden areas we managed to keep him calm and occupied so my daughter could continue to enjoy the day. He came away happy and wants to return to try again.

My only suggestion for improvement for us would therefore be reviewing the admissions policy. Specifically, ‘Paultons Park does not wish to discriminate against guests with disabilities and therefore the appropriate admission rate will be charged’. I say this because my son’s disability is such that he needs to acclimatise himself to a place before he feels safe and trusts where he his before fully participating. He is keen to go back now he has ‘checked the place out’ and is now familiar with the surroundings/rides but this will mean the cost of another family ticket. We appreciate this isn’t the case for all disabilities and it is difficult to manage on a large scale. We will take him back as we want him to have the same experience as our daughter who used the park to the full!

Thank you for a great family day out- we have lots of happy memories of the day.

Kids are 9 and 11 and we didn’t go to PP world. We ate at the Wild Forest Restaurant and we’re very impressed with the quality and price of the food.

Dear Bilbs81, Thank you for you lovely feedback and 5 star review following your recent visit to Paultons Park. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed a great family day out at Paultons! Thank you for your kind comments on how clean , tidy and well maintained the Park is. It is also lovely to hear how friendly our staff were, as customer service is of high importance to us. As you may know Paultons is a family owned and run business and it is always a pleasure to receive such praise from our guests. We will certainly pass your comments on to the Park’s Senior Management and Directors. We are so pleased to hear that you felt that the Park was good value for money. Paultons has over 70 rides and attractions including animals, gardens, play parks and splash areas set across 140 acre site, so we are thrilled to hear that you were able to find so much to do. Its great that your daughter was able to do so many rides and benefit for shorter ride queue times on the day of your visit too. We are sorry to learn that your son wasn’t keen on using the rides until later in the day. As well as the rides, we have many other family attractions here at Paultons which can be enjoyed and we are pleased to hear that your son was entertained whilst your daughter used the rides. Our extensive landscaped gardens, walk through attractions, water splash parks, birds and animals, character appearances and play areas are the perfect attractions for those looking to take a break from our many rides. We do also have a Queue Assist scheme here at Paultons, which we do hope you were aware of. Full details of this can be found on our website. Please be assured that we take all feedback received very seriously and your feedback with regards to our admissions policy has been shared with the Park’s Management Team. It’s fantastic to hear that you made lots of happy memories as a family, and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to Paultons soon. Kind regards, Paultons Park

Visited Paultons Park in August with my partner and 3 little ones. We had a fantastic day at Peppa Pig World and we didn't realise just how much the park had to offer! Our eldest daughter didn't want to hang around peppa pig all day, so she was able to go elsewhere in the park to enjoy the rollercoasters and other rides in the dinosaur land and tornado land.

The food was a bit pricey, especially if you're buying for a larger family. Next time, we'll take our own packed lunch and buy food only if we are desperate. For a family of 5, our lunch came to around £50! Too much.

The entry fee is extortionate swell. Luckily, our two youngest children were under 1 metre tall so they got in for free, but for the 2 adults and our 11 year old, it cost £150 altogether. I empathise with the fact that businesses have to generate a profit after covid, but this is way too expensive. I remember when it was only £20 entry!

A majority of staff we encountered were lovely, especially Aaron/Arran in one of the restaurants. He was very helpful.

However, we witnessed an older member of staff in the big shop behaving nastily toward a younger assistant. She spoke to her like she was a child, rather than an employee, and I could see the young girl was getting upset. She only stopped her nastiness when I interrupted to ask a question about a product. I was sad to see this. I suggest some re-training be carried out.

Dear lauramk1985 Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your visit to Paultons during the Summer of 2022. It is great to have been able to welcome you and your family to the Park and we are delighted to learn that you found something for all of your party to experience and enjoy. We are however saddened to learn of your disappointment in regards to the price of our admission tickets. We are extremely proud of the unique experience that we are able to provide all of our guests. Admission tickets to Paultons Park include over 70 rides and attractions covering Lost Kingdom, Peppa Pig World and our brand new Tornado Springs area, along with our many animal enclosures and beautiful landscaped gardens. Therefore, we certainly believe that we offer a full day’s entertainment across our 140 acre site. Here at Paultons we do and will continue to heavily invest in the Park and our line up of rides and attractions to ensure that we are providing the best possible experience and attractions for our valued guests. Ordinarily we receive many positive comments in relation to the friendliness and professionalism of our staff members however, we would like to offer our apologies if you felt this was not the case during your visit. Your feedback has been passed on to our Senior Management Team for their information. We do hope that we may have the opportunity to welcome you back to Paultons again one day in the future and thank you again for your review. Kind regards Paultons Park

Paultons Park is THE BEST maintained and presented amusement park I have ever visited, and I have visited all the big one's - many of which on several occasions.

The attractions were spotlessly clean and not a bit of flaking paint anywhere to be seen. Not one bit of litter seen anywhere and the most neatly manicured gardens and flower displays I have seen in a long time. Queues were well organised, staff were friendly and knowledgeable and customer safety was clearly a priority. Toilets also exceptionally clean, and large numbers of them too.

Peppa Pig World is wonderful for little one's and fun for accompanying adults aswell.

The price point for park entry is not the cheapest, but it is so good to see that they are clearly investing money back into the park.

The main shop is massive and sells just about every toy and souvenir, across a broad range of price points. Also lots of pay desks and many staff on hand to assist. Nobody rushing you out at the end of the day either, which was appreciated.

The car park was very well organised and it was ensured that everyone parked courteously, which was great. Fairly significant amount of time taken to exit the car park, but can't be helped due to its location and only one available exit route. My tip would be to bring some snacks or a drink and stay in the car for a few minutes to let it die down after closing.

Great theme park for under 12's. We visited on a cloudy but dry day in August 2021. The park was beautifully clean and tidy, with excellent facilities for families. The rides were perfect for my 10 year old daughter who loved the rollercoasters. Queue times were very variable, ranging from 5 minutes to 50 minutes. I found some of the queue lines very cramped, which made social distancing impossible. There are plenty of food outlets and we were able to get some fairly healthy lunches which were not bad, and priced at the higher end of reasonable.

As others have said, traffic on the way in to the park is very busy due to the small surrounding roads, so allow an extra 30 minutes on your journey time on busy days. Traffic management on-site was excellent.

If we were to visit again I would be very clear with my daughter that we are not playing any of the "win a toy" games due to them being so overpriced. £5 for 3 plays on a game where the chances of winning are so low is too much. Kids obviously want to play these and are disappointed when they don't win a prize. For the £5 there should definitely be a small "prize every time" as there was on one of the games. The prices for lockers were also way over what is reasonable resulting in us not using them. This "money grabbing" took the edge off what would otherwise be a really great day out.

We spent 6 hours in the park and found that was about right for us, but we didn't see and do everything, just the main big rides. Overall I would definitely recommend the park but be aware of the extra costs and manage kids expectations accordingly!

Dear blun Many thanks for your review following your visit to Paultons. It is always a pleasure to learn that the relentless efforts put in by the team in order to keep the Park in top condition haven't gone unnoticed and we thank you for your kind comments. With regards to the Games Areas here at Paultons, these are run by a separate company called HB Leisure who operate in the majority of theme parks throughout the UK and Europe. HB Leisure do operate various different games on site including ones which provide 'a prize every time'. We thank you for your comments in relation to the cost to hire our lockers and we thank you for your feedback. Again we appreciate the time taken to leave a review and hope to be able to welcome you again soon. Kind regards Paultons Park

When we first looked at visiting I thought the ticket prices were ridiculously high and it almost put us off coming. Two adults and 2 kids was about £140 for a family ticket but because one of our children was under 1m he got in for free…but still would’ve set us back £110.

We researched into what rides were there and which ones either/both kids could go on and it seemed there was a lot of choice for everyone so we took a punt and booked it. We were visiting butlins that was an hour away so this would’ve been the final treat to our week away.

On arrival the park was easy to find, easy to park (which is free) and getting through the gates was fuss free. Having the app made everything 10x easier, we had our tickets uploaded onto it so they just needed scanning once we got there.

We had prebooked a stroller for £10 for the day which we got from guest services, our son loved it, we just had to make sure to return it before the last ride time.

Onto the park itself…wow is all I can say. Almost straight away I can see why the ticket prices are what they are. The landscaping across the entire park is incredible. The detail that has gone into every corner along with the upkeep and maintenance they must need to pay for to keep it looking this way is evident. Honestly the park itself is absolutely beautiful and a must see.

We went during term time so we were expecting minimal queues especially for the bigger rides, peppa pig world was a little busy at times but we never queued for more than 10-15 minutes all day. The range of rides was good, something for everyone as we expected, with different themes across the park. Our favourite area had to be the lost kingdom. Again, using the app made keeping an eye on queue times easy but also helped us know how far we were from our next planned rides as well as being able to check off ones we had already done.

The food outlets all seemed reasonable. We dined at daddy pigs cafe, had 3 x sausage rolls, a Cornish pasty and 4 drinks for just over £20. There was plenty of choice scattered all over the park so bound to find something you like.

Overall, I would definitely visit again, we did find we didn’t quite have enough time to do everything. There were plenty of parks, soft play and a splash zone, as well as the numerous rides available to go on. We did find ourselves having to choose between things. I would fear that if there were queues you wouldn’t feel like it was quite so much value for money. I would also begrudge having to pay another £110 for a second day as I didn’t see any second day return offers like other big parks do unless you book a short break.

Would also like to mention how friendly every single member of staff we encountered was. 10/10!

Perfect family day out!

Large variety of rides with several awesome rollercoasters, a log flume, swings, racing cars, Peppa Pig World for the little ones, a zoo with plenty of animals to see and gorgeous gardens to explore.

I took my 19 year old girlfriend and 12 year old sister and we had an amazing time. We booked on a weekend in the June half-term online. The park wasn’t even particularly busy and queues for most rides were anywhere from 10-25 minutes. Our favourite rides were the dinosaur rollercoasters in the Lost Kingdom and we’d recommend doing these first whilst all the families run off to Peppa Pig World! The park is visually stunning, and there were times when I felt like I was walking around a nature reserve! If you get to Paulton’s in time for thé 10:00am opening you’ll able to ride everything you want. There was a lot of congestion coming into the park so leave plenty of time to get there, although once at the gates there is not much of a queue to get in.

Paulton’s were good at sticking to Covid regulations, but they weren’t overly controlling
or over the top about the situation which was really awesome. No compulsory mask wearing on the rides or outdoors.

Food options were amazing. You would often expect just burger and chips from a theme park but Paulton’s have everything, with many different restaurants across the park. There was a lot of vegan options to choose from, such as vegetable pasties, curry, soup and dairy free ice cream. If you prefer to save money with a picnic, the gardens are huge and quiet for you to enjoy your lunch!

Rides began to close from 17:30-18:00. I’d recommend going on thé water ride at Peppa
Pig world last for a relaxing end to the day! Paulton’s keep their gates open until 19:00 so if you want to wind down in the play park or in the gardens there’s plenty of time to do that!

Thanks for an awesome day out Paulton’s! Keep up the good work and I hope everyone else enjoys your awesome park!
