Cafe takeaway only and nowhere to feed baby
Jun 2021 • Family
The cafe was takeaway only, and the 'covered' seats outside were absolutely drenched in the rain which meant we had to sit in the cars with our drinks to feed the babies to keep them dry. It was nice to have a walk after, but to pay for parking just to end up sitting back in the same car to try and feed a newborn in the dry wasn't ideal.

Good

Beautiful walks. Although went in Easter half term not that busy. However, the cafe was a nightmare. Had kids running in and out of people some adults not wearing masks and worse not keeping the 2 meter distance

Itchin for a walk!
Nov 2020 • Family
Itchen valley is one of my Favs. The walks are nice and numerous, lots of
Different parks and play trails to follow and the paths are well kept. Parking can be difficult on nice days but that's like anywhere. My negatives would be that the queue for the Cafe is always so long that I've never actually purchased anything, they would be better installing a coffee machine for takeaway. Also go ape is here and that's great fun.

Lovely Day out
Oct 2020 • Family
Beautiful place full of secrets and wonderful places for children to play and explore. My daughter had so much fun searching and exploring in the woods. Lots of things to have a go at. A lovely day out had by the whole family.

Waste of time
Oct 2020
We cycled across from the other side of Southampton to do the cycle trail, only to find it closed due to tractor flaying. Local notices put up yesterday, great if you visit daily! I get that they need to maintain things, which they obviously have to plan in advance so why not put something on their website, I checked before we left NOTHING, but really clear about parking charges typical money grabbing council, we were going to have lunch, but decided against it given the thing we went to do was not available, so we when elsewhere, and I have to say we wont be back and will continue to take our money elsewhere in future.

Ok sort of

It’s nice but there are signs everywhere about keeping dogs on leads except on a certain field. Not what I am used to as my dogs are well behaved and rarely need a lead. A bit disappointed in that respect but otherwise the facilities are good etc

Morning Walk
Jul 2020 • Friends
My friend and I went for a walk here the other week, the area is very large and during the current climate its very easy to social distance too. The walk is lovely with shaded areas and sunny fields to walk through. Parking was an average price of £1.40 for the hour we spent there.

Visit during lockdown
Jun 2020
Visited 9 Jun 2020. Toilets and cafe etc all shut.
You still have to pay to park, despite most other parking in Eastleigh being free currently. Annoying that you have to enter your car reg no by touching the buttons.
Poor of the Council to prioritise parking revenue over people's safety during Covid 19.
Take hand cleanser if you have some.

Really Enjoyable
Oct 2019
So often these places can be a let down, but not this one. Hadn't been for a while but what a great improvement in the facilities and especially the food. The kids loved the food that was really plentiful and we liked it because of the price.

Great walking in the area and good sized play areas for children of all ages. The nature trails with the animals to climb on was also a great success. Really has improved loved it.
