The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that operates in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey. Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors.

What a wonderful place. Children will love it. Amazing displays and it seems the birds love it too. Just feel that they are really loved by their trainers.

I took three of my grandchildren on a cold but dry day. There were very few people there as it was a few days before Christmas. We had almost personal attention from the keepers and they were most informative. The children loved the hunt for golden eggs and the flying displays

Have been visiting annually for about 6 years and are never disappointed. Lovely to see familiar faces amongst the birds and the staff (Dolores, Sirius, Sweeney Todd, Madeleine and Cédric). The flying displays are always entertaining and informative and it's obvious the staff are passionate about the birds. Food in Feathers restaurant is excellent, highly rate the very generous ham,egg... More

We've been to hawk conservancy a couple of times now and it is a great day out. Well above our expectations. Well organised with plenty to see. Displays are fantastic. Enjoyed hold by a Harris Hawk and kids can hold an owl. Also went to owls by moonlight one evening this was less good - needs more material and I... More

This has been a favourite place for us particularly with grandchildren. On this particular occasion we bought grandchildren here for a visit from New Zealand. They had remembered this place from 2 years ago and it was on their list to visit they are 6 and 10 years old. The staff are always so enthusiastic about the birds and we... More

i went here on an impromptu date in school time when we both had the day off midweek and it was pretty empty, only 5 others in the park at the time. this meant that we got a more personal display from the vultures and owls as the handlers could stand nearer to us. on top of this the bird... More

The hawk conservancy is an amazing day out for a family of any age. There are many activity's for you and your family to enjoy such as even collecting bird stamps as you explore the area. Personally the greatest feature is if you get there early enough they will come out with a list that you can put your name... More

Had a fantastic day out, the displays were wonderful with the birds flying free with informative talks by the staff who obviously know the birds characters intimately. I would say it is not aimed at young children as it is not a theme park with a bird part attached it is about the birds. The birds have all seemed very... More
