The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that operates in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey. Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors.

i went here on an impromptu date in school time when we both had the day off midweek and it was pretty empty, only 5 others in the park at the time. this meant that we got a more personal display from the vultures and owls as the handlers could stand nearer to us. on top of this the bird... More

We visited on Friday for my husbands special birthday treat and the day was fantastic. Firstly all of the staff were great, interesting , knowledgeable and very friendly. Thank you to the staff in Feathers as our afternoon tea was perfect. and as for the flying displays - you have the most amazing birds. The demo was well brilliant with... More

The hawk conservancy is an amazing day out for a family of any age. There are many activity's for you and your family to enjoy such as even collecting bird stamps as you explore the area. Personally the greatest feature is if you get there early enough they will come out with a list that you can put your name... More

Had a fantastic day out, the displays were wonderful with the birds flying free with informative talks by the staff who obviously know the birds characters intimately. I would say it is not aimed at young children as it is not a theme park with a bird part attached it is about the birds. The birds have all seemed very... More

It's lovely but defiantly way too expensive entry for what it is. Would go again but only when I get a free pass with army ticket pass. Beautiful birds there

I had such a good day I went back the following day. The birds are amazing and the keepers extremely knowledgeable, the shows are not just highly informative but excellent entertainment for kids and adults alike. If you are visiting in the area and looking for an extremely good, affordable day out this is the place. The café is also... More

I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't what we got. The location is great and the layout of the place is really well done. It has a serene atmosphere with interludes of excitement when they do the shows; and it's the shows that make is such a great day out. Prepare to stay alert and be... More

The hawk conservancy was fabulous! It had plenty to do and see. We flew a hawk, watched three live bird shows, held owls, had lunch and learnt a hell of a lot. It's set against a gorgeous view of the countryside, has lots of shade and seating and enough to look at for a few hours wandering around. We're two... More
