The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity and award winning visitor centre that operates in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey. Set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can hold a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays for the younger visitors.

We stumbled across this centre on an unplanned day out and what a surprise it was. I'm not going to spoil it for you and I wouldn't know how to express this experience in full, but this centres displays are informative and different with a thrilling twist. You've got to be there to enjoy it. Absolutely brilliant! As they say... More

We haven't been here for a couple of years and were impressed with all the changes that had been made to the facilities. Everyone from the reception and restaurant staff to the incredibly passionate and knowledgeable bird handlers were amazing. My husband was lucky enough to have received a bird of prey experience for his birthday and he spent over... More

We had a lovely time yesterday 26th August. We took our 2 year old grand daughter and she loved it. (And so did we). A good day out for all age groups. The staff are very caring and you can see they love the work they are doing. I can highly recommend it.

Amazing day. We have been to many Bird of Prey displays and there is no comparison between them and the displays here. If you want to get very close up to beautiful birds, this is the place to go. We were there from opening to closing time and still had more we could have done. The historical re-enactment at the... More

This is one of the best days out I've had with children for a long time. The cards they give the children to get them to find the stamps are great, so are the Golden eggs they find, as well as the hidden answers to questions on the cards. The New African display is incredible....The music they use is just... More

My husband and I visited the Hawk Conservancy recently with our 7 month old daughter. We weren't sure how much she would get out of it but she loved it the whole time we were there! There are lots of large cages with a variety of birds in to look at and the shows are just spectacular. The African birds... More

I followed up on a friend's recommendation and took my wife and our young grandchildren to this superb venue. The entire day from start to finish was amazing. The flying displays were incredible and the children were fascinated to be up close to the vultures and the owls. The Conservancy is to be congratulated for their excellent work. This is... More
