It is free easy to park in the park and just a short walk from the Priory. The friendly staff great you at the entrance and point you in the right direction. There is interesting items to look at on two levels. The building itself is interesting and has been well maintained. I recommend sitting for a few minutes to... More

Been there today, just for a walk with my little one and said that will never ever come back there, so many RATS everywhere. And specially on the playground where kids were playing, it's extremely dangerous! They have to do something with this!!!!

Thank you for your comments. Prittlewell Priory is located in the park grounds but the museum does not maintain the park itself, such as the play area. We will pass your comments on to the Parks Department, who will investigate. Kind regards, Promotion & Events Team Southend Libraries & Museums More

We took our grandchildren to the priory as we were visiting priory park . There is no admission charge to the priory so that's a plus these days . I remember when I was a young lad being taken here on a school trip . The priory has been fully renovated to its former glory and is an outstanding building... More

I absolutely love the priory and its surrounding gardens. My fiancée and I are actually getting married there later this year. If you are in the area I highly recommend you take a trip there. The staff are always very friendly and the whole area is kept clean and tidy.

The Priory underwent renovation over a couple of years and is worth a visit as it contains some of the areas history. There are often exhibitions held there which can be of interest to some.

I've visited Prittlewell Priory twice in the last 6 months and on both occasions the war memorial interactive has been broken. On my most recent visit i stupidly assumed the problem would have been sorted as i brought my elderly father down to see his late uncles detail's and we left bitterly disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and my... More

Cool little place you can take the kids on a 'I'm bored' day, teepee in history and has a small cafe to grab some lunch.

Have been to Shoeburyness several time over last few years. Its clean beach and you can spend a sunny day over the beach. Still, very less option for activities and no shops nearby.
