Visit the centre on a regular basis. The visitor centre make lovely food, and the relaxed atmosphere adds to the ambiance of the cafe. Great places for walks and never seems to be overcrowded. Staff are lovely and make a good range of food.

Good tarmac paths for walking and very dog friendly. Parking can be a problem at busy times. Well worth a visit.

I found this park good for walking on my own to the visitor centre and over to the lake. It has toilets and cafe too.

Once parked you can walk for miles. Ideal if you have a dog if not just keep walking, can be visited by local bus.

This a great place with plenty of open spaces for the children and dogs to run about. There are plenty of trails to explore, however i would recommend wearing robust waterproof footwear, or wellies in inclement weather if you plan to stray off the concrete...More
