Unfriendly, uninviting, unwelcoming.
How can you have a cafe in a park, predominantly used by dog walkers that will not allow you to enter with a dog to just order a coffee?
They've removed most of the seating outside, who knows if this is to deter dog walkers from utilising the space.
What a stupid directive. Short sighted. Utterly ridiculous.
The majority of their income comes from the dog walkers, some of us spend up to £240 on coffee per month, yet we are clearly not valued customers.
There are plenty of other dog friendly cafes locally that we will be using in future.
More premises are awakening to the need to allow dogs inside and this place is going backwards. Get a grip please and open your eyes. Alienating your main customer base will be disastrous for the centre.
There were two customers (possibly even staff members) inside and hoards of of dog walkers standing outside with coffee.
Naivety at its best Essex Wildlife.

If you have a dog and walking on your own, don’t bother if you want refreshments, unbelievably not dog friendly in a country park! Have an outside window to sell coffees, happy with that, but pick and choose if they are going to serve you. In future if I want refreshments going to Eastbrook cafe or Harrow lodge cafe where dogs are welcome and just as good walking areas, if not better at Eastbrook!

This is a lovely little place with great scenic views and loads of historical facts about the Hornchurch Country Park and the surrounding areas and how the site used to be Hornchurch Airfield during the second world war. The food sold here is also really nice and cooked from scratch. It's easily accessible for wheelchair users or families with prams/push chairs. It even includes an outdoor seating area. It has huge windows on one side of the building so you can look out at the scenery and bird watch the many species of birds that call the park home. Great place to visit for lone travellers, families and couples (of all ages).

The visitor centre is a great addition to Hornchurch Country Park. Unfortunately the essex Wildlife Trust keep increasing the prices in the cafe. Had to stop using it.

I have lived 5 minutes from the country park since 2003, until they built the centre it was not really that busy, which was a shame because it is a lovely park. There is a lot of information about the history of the park and a gift shop. There is a cafe serving hot and cold snacks and a fair amount of seating. There is also seating outside and water bowls and hoops to tie your dog to.

I love this place, loads of varied walks and an enormous amount of wildlife. The view from the hill, never disappoints. Today the woodpeckers were in their element. Stopped for a gorgeous coffee and cake in the visitor centre and was treated to the blue tits going wild on the feeders while the sparrows, chaffinches and collared doves waited on the crumbs. What a way to spend a day.

Nice place to sit and enjoy a tea whilst looking over the valley. Just people watch and rest. Toilets are a bonus too. Play area nearby.

We have been to numerous events for the children here and the staff are fantastic at keeping them and the adults engaged in the learning outcomes. Great resources used and enough for all to share.
As for the playing park it has a wide range of equipment to use that the children love.
Walking the dog is always a treat. With great walks which take you to see beautiful views and meet lovely people along the way. Big bowls of water for the dogs at the centre after their long walks
